Shadows in the Light (OOC)

By Ryoden, in Star Wars: Edge of the Empire RPG

Works for me!

Hey guys, I think its time I admit that the game has ended. I had a lot of fun but it I can't log in as often as I used to and when I do have time I am prioritizing other things first. I don't want to string this out for no reason. Sorry if this is a disappointment to you, it is to me as well.

That's a shame, but real life trumps games sometimes.

Ah darn ok well good playing with y'all

Disappointing it was fun. It was good playing with everyone, I would do it again.

I just got power back after Irma!! Sad day! Loved playing with y’all!

*sadface* I really enjoyed the campaign and playing with everyone. Thank you for a fun game @Ryoden . @Mattimeo84 @Imperial Stormtrooper @TheShard @Darzil I enjoyed playing with everyone.

I am however going steal the story so far if I ever run a game. It was a really fun and engaging plot.

Let us know if you do!

Well now I feel even worse about it. Tell you what I'd be happy to keep playing but the expectation of post responding within a day like we started off with just can't keep up. If I were to be realistic I don't think I'd get a chance to log in and type something up more than once a week. Though I suppose that's what the pace has been these last months. So I guess there's that, I'll offer to keep running but if you want something that is more consistent or faster-paced this game may not be for you anymore.

I’m down for continuing! Completely ok with a bit slower pace if needed.

I'm fine too

Works for me.

And me (though I'll be quiet til after the weekend!)

Slower pace works for me.

S'zish and Khaine, Taking advantage of the advice the ithorians gave you, you sneak your way into the central area. With only a bit of difficulty you pass the heavily patrolled ring and you realize that the large buildings (intended for an entire population of ithorians) are mostly empty. You carefully make your way to the main tower. The upper levels of the tower have docking platforms jutting out and a few ships can be seen, presumably awaiting their turn to depart. Directly above the main tower you see a massive construction of durasteel and plastcrete. You soon realize that they are massive doors built from the wreckage of the battle 4 years ago. They appear to be the only means of egress from the Herdship forcefield dome.

After taking a moment to catch your breath and assess the situation, you have to quickly duck back behind cover as you hear a group approaching. Peaking from around an abandoned dumpster you see that it is a group of storm troopers escorting an Imperial Officer of some rank. The imperial cadre stop perhaps 50 meters from you at a door to the central tower, when it opens and a pair of Zygerrians leave.

“Administrator-Reagent Zage,” the officer says in a high pitched nasally voice stopping the pair of Zygerrians “Have you found your missing dock master? I am instructed to ensure that this facility continues operation, surely you do not want my report to include a frivolous personnel concern?”

“I assure you sub lieutenant” The taller of the Zygerrians responds “There is nothing to be concerned about”

The groups pass, the imperials heading into the tower and the Zygerrians walking towards a collection of speeder cars. The Zyggerians speak with each other in hushed tones that are hard to discern until they are closer and at the cars. The leader, Zage, says to the other as a conclusion to their quiet discussion. “And send someone to check the brothel, he doesn’t normally enjoy that sort of entertainment but maybe he is passed out with some toy.” He then steps into a car and speeds away. The other Zygerrian scowls and turns back to the tower heading toward the doors.

Tox, Worm and Mrash have made their way into the warehouses that the population of slaves are housed in between shifts. On their way here, they had to sneak past the main work operations. Snaking conveyor belts move rubble from the mine in front of hundreds of slaves who are sorting through the crushed stone, picking out individual specks of blue and moving them to awaiting carts.

The conditions at the housing are no better. The massive rooms are patrolled from above on balconies by the Zygerrian guards. Below the slaves are allowed to mill about and interact with each other but any large groupings are quickly dispersed by electro whips. You are in the largest warehouse. The entrance was guarded but you were able to sneak through when a shift changed.

Tell me how you guys proceed. Also you should specify your immediate term goals for me please.

Do you think we should do anything about that conversation @Ahrimon ? I'm inclined to say no, just in case their monitoring transmissions. I'm of the opinion that we could head to the gate control, security office, lab, or see if there's anything useful in the dock area since the dock master is missing. What do you think?

How are the accesses points between different areas guarded? Gates, check points?

Was it shift change of guards or shift change of prisoners we crept in on? ie. have we sneaked through into prisoner level or balcony the guards are on? How many guards are there in this warehouse? Are there obvious panic buttons or comm links so they can call for outside help?

Check points with a stationary pair of guards. All the guards are on the walkways above.

It was a slave shift change you used and you are on the ground level. Each section of the warehouse is large enough for a couple hundred slaves and has a few dozen guards that seem to be moving around enough to keep their numbers from being easily counted. likely over a hundred on patrol now, given the number of warehouses and slaves. Several times you see the guards speak into comm links in their helmets.

@Imperial Stormtrooper I think the dock master is currently either tied up or dead in the C-Roc we liberated and we need to keep them from sending someone to look for him. It may be risky but I have an idea.

@Ryoden If I understand the setup he's not far away, back to us, heading back to towards the entrance on the other side of the street? I want to rush him and tackle him into the alley (DP needed?) that he's about to pass in front off. S'zish'll be right behind me and either clock him on the head with the but of his rifle or zap him with a neuronic whip. It's dark enough now that we shouldn't be noticed. Especially since everyone is all worked up over the imps that just visited.

Thats about the gist of it. And yes a DP would be needed to introduce a conveniently placed alley.

We'll resolve it with a single check. Each of you will need to declare a desired skill and result. I'll then tell you your difficulty.

So im thinking is it feasible to collapse the balconies so they fall into the areas where the slaves are milling about?

Run quickly across the street tackling the guy into the alley. Coordination (Ag)?

@Ahrimon would it be alright with you if S'zish used a stun grenade on the Zygerrian? Or I could try and hit them with the butt of my rifle. Thinking about it both have pluses and minuses.

Whichever works for you. I could do a running shove into the alley rather than a tackle if you want to grenade him. I was just hoping to get the stunning portion out of the street. :)
