There is your group info for this chapter. I did not include it, but the walker has the zero g modification on it.

Rules for the Salvage:

This is the list of ships that you provided me.

C-ROC Gozanti @Ahrimon

C-ROC Gozanti @Mattimeo84

C-ROC Gozanti @crookedcrown

Wayfarer Class Medium Transport @Weedles and Fries

Minstrel Class Space Yacht @Hinklemar

Imperial Customs Frigate @Imperial Stormtrooper

Each ship will have damage represented by a percentage of it's total worth. For instance: If the ship were valued at 100k and I roll a %60 for a ship, it will be damaged such that it will cost your group 40k to repair it back to full normal working order. This number does not include whatever your characters can do to reduce that cost such as negotiating with repair facilities, taking on obligation or working on it yourselves.

I've already explained that the standard cost to repair a Critical Hit is 2% of the ships base cost per die of difficulty for the check. That cost increases to 5% if the die has been upgraded. So a crit that is PPR on a 100k ship would cost 9k credits (2%+2%+5%=9%) to repair.

The CRB says Hull Trauma can be repaired for 500 credits a point. I am adjusting that to a percentage of the cost of the ship. The starting ships from Edge are around 100k credits so 500 credits is about half a percentage. Each point of hull trauma costs 0.5% to repair.

The surface of the moon is such that you will only be able to look for each ship, one at a time. Three of you wanted a C-ROC. I will roll three times and we will use the best roll for to represent the ship you find.

The first ship you find will be one of the ones from the list, at random.

Does this all make sense? Do you want to make a last minute change to the list?

Chapter 2 Destiny Roll : 1eF 1 Dark Side
f-ds.png

Twice now Brin has brought a dark destiny with him XD

Come on, Brin! Get it together!

Excited for chapter 2! I'm also gonna start recording what I spend my experience on in my notes.

Spent 5 xp on Iron Body. Reasoning: if you can navigate a cargo loader through the streets of Nar Shadda, your coordination imporves.
Spent 10 xp to up Vigilance. Reasoning: if you can navigate a cargo loader through the streets of Nar Shadda, you can handle more.

Just to make sure I understand. Are those the costs if we do it ourselves or are those the costs if we just pay a shipyard? So , just for maths sake, we find a c-roc, 55 HT 190k credits, it would cost 950 credits per hull point (.5% will 190k) up to a maximum of 52.5k credits for a ship that is at its threshold? If we do it ourselves, with the proper facilities, is it cheaper?

Those costs are the "book" prices so to speak. If you were to pay a shop to fully repair a C-ROC that had taken 55 points of damage it would cost (0.5% of 190k = 950cr | 950cr x 55 =) 52,250cr. That is the price you would then try to modify with negotiations. Also if you do the work yourself you may be able to avoid some costs altogether, depending on what you are doing and how effective it is.

Loving all the light side Destiny you guys are rolling

@Ryoden What's next? Do we all post something IC before finding the ships, or is there a perception roll (or other kind of roll) that some/all of us have to make?

Well, I did post a couple questions ("Does this all make sense? Do you want to make a last minute change to the list?") and I've been giving people a chance to answer them before moving on.

If everyone is ready I'll start rolling up the ships.

1 - C-ROC

2 - Wayfarer

3 - Minstrell

4 - ICF

I'll present you all with a description of the first ship you find. At that point your characters can respond IC to the situation. One choice you could make would be to move on and look for another ship. Remember that the four ships on the list represent ships that your character know are out here somewhere. We would then repeat the rolling for the next ship on the list. Should the condition of the 4 ships on the list be so bad that your group chooses to keep looking, then I'll start adding random ships.

I think I understand the ships repairs, enough that I'm comfortable to move forward.

I stick with my choice.

Same

Then I think it's high time I presented you with a ship.

The first ship you find is... : 1d4 3

The Minstrel Class Space Yacht. Interesting, and it's condition is...

First ship condition : 1d100 37

So it has over a million credits worth of damage.

Give me a bit and I'll describe the find IC.

Yikes

lol

Here is the post.

What do you do?

I vote we keep looking. That damage is too severe.

This ship isn't my preference, and that repair bill seems a bit steep. I would rather keep looking, hopefully we can get something more along the lines of 1d100: 96.

That said, it's a beast. It can hold 6 star fighter and two shuttles...

If we were to decide to try again, this ship is forever out of our reach, correct?

No that is not correct. What happens to the ship if you move on is not anything hard and fast.

Also you may want to give Fzaexx a chance to talk before moving on.

LOL, I snorted reading the name for our cargo loader

Second Destiny Roll : 1eF 1 Dark Side
f-ds.png

Twice in a row, seems as if this might indeed become a trend.

I think I'm going to wait on posting in the IC since S'zish is the pilot and his reaction to the ship would be something like this;

Image result for we're done here meme

I'm going to try and do an IC post for the trip up, but I don't know if I can get to it before I get off work tonight. Some thoughts though.

While it is expensive, considering the type of ship it is, there's a possibility we get some sil 3 ships along with it, since there may still be a shuttle in the hold that wasn't used to evacuate. There could also be a good amount of valuables inside that the former owner was forced to leave behind. Plus, if we get it running and bring it back, with minor repairs, we could sell it for a pretty penny. I don't have time to look up it's value, but I'll bet even damaged it could be worth quite a lot so we may be able to sell it in order to purchase a new ship. Also, with that big of a dock, we could possibly find some sil 3 ships and it could work as a personal carrier while we zip around in fighters and shuttles.

Plus, even if we don't take it in the end, looting it for valuables could be worthwhile.

It is important for his character.

I love the idea of looting it in any event. I'm curious what @Hinklemar has to say.
