well, Ogdudes isn't always correct, but regardless. as GM I'll have final say. What was it you wanted to wear?
Shadows in the Light (OOC)
No worries, and definitely not trying to undermine you. I was just musing out loud about the rules and I noticed it when I looked at my encumbrance with the padded armor.
But Khaine will be wearing the padded armor over his heavy clothing and I'll eat the 1 encumbrance from the heavy clothing. I used my Jury Rigged talent to lower the encumbrance on my rifle by two so that I don't go over my threshold.

Bah, no worries at all.
See in that specific example I can imagine that the heavy clothing under the padded armor would be more encumbering. Like if you were trying to wear a denim jacket and overalls under a set of football pads.
Blacking out the armor should be easy but there is a chance you mess it up. Someone needs to do a mechanics check. Easy difficulty. Casea will allow you to use the tool kit she has scrounged up for the ship. She even had a decent work bench by the reactor. +1 Boost die.
Let me know when you head down the Turbolift and I'll give you a difficulty for your stealth checks.
Since I can never remember the number of dice to roll for each difficulty I added a cheat sheet to my reference post at the beginning of the thread.
Did you want me to roll for each persons armor that I "paint" or just once for everyone?
Blackened Armor
:
1eA+2eP+1eB+1eD
2 successes
As far as the heavy clothing goes, I'll just roll up my jacket at the small of my back. It's 1 encumbrance either way.
Is Casea able to take a look at our wounds?
Unless anyone has anything else to do or any other ideas, I would say we are ready to go down the lift once armor is ready and injuries get healed.
Ok folks, I'm trying to come up with something that fits anything the story suggests?
Leaning towards trailblazer, or something FaD if it would make sense.
Could play a face too...
Looking at what we have, which is three fighters, our biggest 'need' is a face. I don't want to force that though (no pun intended). Play the character you want.
You'll have to ask @Ryoden if the character creation guidelines are the same now that the game has started, but for us it was EotE specializations only while races and gear were wide open.
You can check out the beginning of the thread to see descriptions of Z'zish, Tox, and Khaine. We've got combat down but always open for more. Two of the three that have gone silent were more socially focused.
I'm a big fan of play what you want though. The party and game can adapt.

Once is fine. With the armor blacked out like you described you'll get a boost to Stealth checks when hiding in the dark.

Casea the medic will work on your injuries yes.
She is YYGG with one rank of Surgeon. Tox brought in the mini-med droids. Do you give them to her to use?
Khaine is at 7 of 14 so it is an easy check:
Casea Medic on Khaine first aid
:
2eA+2eP+1eB+1eD
7 successes, 1 advantage
Well that's a ton of recovered wounds (10 if she uses the droid helpers) and one point of strain.
His first Critical (Head Ringer):
Casea Medic on Khaine Critical (Head Ringer)
:
2eA+2eP+1eB+2eD
1 success, 5 advantage
You can use the 4 advantage to restore 4 more strain and she'll give herself another boost on her next check with the fifth.
Critical (Agonizing Wound):
Casea Medic on Khaine Critical (Agonizing Wound)
:
2eA+2eP+2eB+2eD
5 successes, 1 threat
Well she had to re-fuse some nerve lines to get this one fixed and it was stupid painful. The Threat causes you a point of Strain.
@TheShard @Darzil I would be open to a force user so long as their presence and story makes sense for the situation. My original restrictions for characters were to align the separate players on to a common theme. I don't want your character to clash with the story as it is so far.
Some of the sources for where your character is prior to joining the group could be;
You were a slave held in the brothel. Whatever your history was before that is up to you but now that the group has come in you are going to free yourself and join them.
You were brought to the herdship by the empire to work the mine or the R&D lab. You previously escaped and are part of the Insurgents (whom the group will meet shortly)
You were living on the herdship 4 years ago when it was captured by the imps. you've been hiding out in the jungles or bowels of the city/ship since then.
You were a droid that has been deactivated sitting on a shelf in the back of this C-ROC Casea the npc can suggest re-activating you before heading into the city.
You were a Zygerrian patron of the brothel. Somehow you convince the group that just took you captive that you should now be an ally of theirs.

No need for the med droids, 7 is enough to heal me of all of my wounds and I'll recover all of my strain before taking that last point to only have 1 strain.

@Ryoden How about a Transdoshan Smuggler/Pilot, believes Scorekeeper favours destruction of Imperial ships. Was captured by the Empire after a failed sortie. Put to work in the mine, because Transdoshan's are considered strong workers. Escaped and joined Insurgents. [Basically +3 Agility from starting Transdoshan stats with 90 xp, and will find some kit that is pretty much the stuff he could steal on this rock]
Will work out detail if ok with that?
Any of the pilot specs would do, but I'm not sure they distinguish enough to push a different one.

That sounds like a fine idea. Are you familiar with this site? www.swsheets.com? Fill it out and link to it here. You'll have 40 xp to spend after character creation.
Edited by RyodenHmm, that's strange, Transdoshan isn't an option on swsheets. Is Oggdudes pdf a reasonable alternative ?
You may need to type it in. I use swsheets cause its easy for me to link to them and check stuff quickly. If all I have is Oggduded then it will take longer to respond.
Thanks, was trying that and it wasn't working, now is.
Actually, may I stretch a point and go for Ace - Pilot, as it fits the background closer, though probably take Obligation (probably Deserter, as missing in action - or an obligation to the group that helped me escape the mine) rather than Duty to fit the campaign ?
The Ace would be someone who has had military training to get to the skill level they are in. Does that apply to the character?
Yes, fought the empire in starships (probably with Rebellion), got captured, got sent to the mines. After this long away from the Rebellion, Duty doesn't really fit with the campaign, but Obligation could.
Alright I think it will be fine. (provided no one else objects.)
The longest you would have been stuck here would be around 2.5 years. That's about when they started sending additional slaves to this facility. You need to decide if he has any inclination to go back to the rebel alliance if he gets off of this moon. Is he committed to the goal of ending the imperial oppression or was he just in it for the chance to fly some nice fighters and blow some sheet up?
So is Casea also going to attempt to heal S'zish?
The latter - though the Transdoshan translation is closer to "challenging yourself against the mighty Imperial ships for the greater glory of Scorekeeper".
Work in progress : http://swsheets.com/c/jjd2i9loa-mrash
3 minutes ago, Imperial Stormtrooper said:So is Casea also going to attempt to heal S'zish?
Yes she is:
Szish first aid
:
2eP+2eA+1eB+1eD
5 successes, 2 advantage
With 3 ranks of Surgeon. To heal 8 total.
S'zish is back to full health.
