I posted IC with a pic that inspired Casea.

She is willing to join you but she was never exposed to the Herdship City and would not be able to act as a guide. She could try and introduce you to the Insurgents by contacting them over the radio, but it was never a reliable means of communication for them. It is also likely that the radio communication was monitored by the Zyggerians so they never discussed specifics.

Works for me

@TheShard may be re-joining us BTW. He is creating a new character and we are seeing where he will fit in to the story.

Venturing into the Herdship proper: What precautions will you be taking for this, how will you be moving about, how will you be dressed/disguised, ect?

Shard!

As I see it, we have two major options. Either sneak around using stealth like ninjas OR put on slaver armor and try and blend in.

Stealth fits our characters better. Wearing the armor of our enemies fits Star Wars better. But also opens us up to accidental friendly fire.

My preference is gear up from the supplies before us and sneak around. The three of us have 3eA+1eB, 4eA, and 2eA+2eP in stealth. So that's in our favor.

Quick post during lunch.

Pie in the sky idea. We could send Brin and/or Fzaexx back in the YT with the freed slaves and the TIE targeting system that we'd have to remove as soon as the winds calm down. They could also take some of the prisoners back to turn into the Hutts. Then we could leave some detailed instructions to the DUM droids to attach the TIE to the C-Roc while we go down below.

I'm thinking that we can grab some grease and the blowtorch from the toolkit and turn the armor black so that we don't stick out wearing Zygerrian armor. Then we could head down below. We could possibly leave Casea behind to hold down the fort. As long as the engines are running fine no one may come up. Except for maybe to look for the missing slavers... Maybe we can just leave an automated message at the lift saying that the facility is closed due to "imperial complications" and hope that keeps people away.

If we are going to go below, we're going to have tell Casea the truth. Getting in touch with her contacts below, once we're below, would be a good idea too. There's a lot of what if's when we go down there. Best case we can free some slaves and steal some stuff. Best case we are able to free the herdship and it's occupants.

S'zish might blend in as a bounty hunter, since I don't think most Zygerrian armor would fit a Gand. IC S'zish would probably want to sneak in, rather than blend in, although he does have 3 cunning. But I don't have a preference.

Recall that the storm will continue for that 15 hours or so. you ought to be able to get a lot done before you'll easily be able to work outside again. You also seem to have a whole lot more confidence in the DUM droids than I do, but that's you're choice I suppose. Besides all that, if they are NPCs then they shouldn't be working on major plot points. One of them may also suddenly come back so I would rather not ship off their character quite yet.

Sounds like the preferred choice will be to head down and sneak about. Got it.

Alright so applying some dark grease/camo to armor will add a boost die to your stealth checks for "right tool for the job".

When you tell Casea the truth she shrugs and says "I pretty much figured that out already. But you guys seem decent so far and I got to kick that schutta in the face thanks to you. I'm in for whatever."

Does Khaine allow Casea to treat his wounds and or his critical injuries?

I'm leaving my shovel and spacesuit up here. Taking a stun grenade or two. Also grabbing a fusion lantern off the team. Does armor overlap? Like can I wear two pieces of armor?

I don't have rules handy and have never run into this before.

Can we ask, are there shops or locations to purchase items down there?

You can put on whatever clothing/armor you want (provided that it makes sense that it all fits on you. However the rules do declare that you only benefit from the mechanics of wearing one suit and the reduction to encumbrance only applies to one.

None of the slaves know much about the workings below (they were all brought directly here for this brothel) and if you want to ask the Zygerrians you will need to roll for it.

What skill might that roll be? Curious if I even have a chance.

I forgot untill @Ahrimon updated our gear section, S'zish took two of the stun grenades. I'm going to update my character sheet so I don't forget again.

That depends on how you approach it. In what way would you try and convince them to talk to you.

I'm gonna play good cop to ahrimons bad cop. I assume he roughed them up and threatened them when he was moving them. I would say something along the lines of "if you help me, I will reign him in. Don't help me, he will hand you in for bounties. He doesn't care if you are dead or alive."

That would be Coercion. Do this thing I want you to do, or bad things will happen to you.

What the heck. Let's do it.

3eA+...

You take one of the prisoners aside and begin asking him questions.

Roll a Coercion check at average difficulty, plus a Boost die and Upgraded once for a flip.

Post what you ask before you roll.

What do you ask?

"What are we going to find down there? The slaves look pretty beaten up. I'd like to get some supplies to heal them. I want to also get some good to feed them. I might be able to convince Khaine that you need food as well.

"What kind of security might we run into?" (Bonus if I do really well)

I did not do really well.

Good Cop : 3eA+1eD+1eC+1eB 2 failures, 3 advantage

You talk with him for a short while and he seems very cooperative. He answers politely and apologizes for not knowing the answer to several questions. (the 3 advantage gives you...) After a while you finally realize that this guy is simply being superficially cooperative and not actually giving you anything worth using. He seems to have some kind of training on how to deal with interrogation and has done his best to give you no usable information while also not going so far as to actually incite you to anger.

The three advantage...

1. He lets slip there are no cameras in the lift or life lobby.

2. He does confirm that there are more than a few species down there

3. Bounty Hunters have been known to come and go.

None of this is phenomenal info, but it does give us an idea. Is that ok?

 I already posted what the 3 advantage gave you.

Non combat skills are free for me to decide the extent of the rolls. As for the three things you listed. Sure he says something along those lines but you eventually realize that anything he told you could be untrue.

I misunderstood, my apologies! Little one was up all night.

Casea can put her hands on Khaine whenever she wants. ;)

I doubt we'll be able to disguise ourselves as zygerrians even with the armor. I don't imagine that they're armor is the full body nameless horde stormtrooper type. So I'd rather paint it black and then sneak around down there. I'm is much better at sneaking than I am at fooling someone.

I'll tell Casea that she's free to come with us if she wants. We're going to cause as much mayhem as possible and free the herd ship. There's a few side stops along the way, and the mayhem may be a slow start, but in the end, whether we succeed or fail, we'll take as many zygerrians with us as we can before we're done. And if we make through all of this she's welcome to join us.

I still think selling zygerrian prisoners to the hutts as slaves is a fitting punishment and a bit of poetic justice.

Khaine would like to take the military holdout blaster as an upgrade from his light blaster unless someone else wants it. He'll also grab a suit of padded armor and paint it black.

I'll take a pair of padded armor and leave my nomad robes up top for the time being.

Interestingly, according to Oggdude's character generator, wearing clothes and armor has the encumbrance from both reduced. Perhaps it's because the armor isn't a full body suit and is designed to be worn on top of clothing like modern armor is. I haven't read that section in a while, but perhaps it's supposed to be up to 4 encumbrance is removed when combining clothing and armor?
