what if we physically cut off the turbolift from the herd-ship. Or would that also cut the power off from it as well?

Not necessarily, but why would you want to do that?

Well a computer lock-down of the turbolift would be easier for the Zygerrians to override remotely, if we use a physical blocker (one that could be removed with enough work) that prevents the turbolift from working, it would take the Zygerrians longer to figure out the problem and fix it (assuming they don't have high quality sensors in the turbolift shaft). I am working under the assumption that since the C-ROC's generator is being used by the Empire that if they lost access they would do almost anything to get the turbolift working again.

So yes, maintenance of the power supply keeping them all alive is probably high on their agenda. I suppose I am wondering why you are trying to cut them off from it at all though.

Mostly because, at least for me, would have been to use this as a safe haven to enter down below.

I didn't know it would be hard to sell Zygerrians to the Hutts as slaves. I had incorrectly assumed that the Hutts wouldn't care. Turning them in as criminals would be good too.

If taking the C-Roc isn't an option I only see two options, but i am open to suggestions. We leave with the YT, take what we have, and maybe return. Or we use the opportunity we have to enter below and try to do what we can. I guess we could take the C-Roc leaving those below to their fate...

Hmmm, what if we hooked up the YT to the generator and got out of there with the C-Roc? They would know something happened as soon as they saw it which would make it harder to come back, but would get us the ship we were after without killing thousands.

I think that if we want to save the slaves in the mine, and have any element of surprise while doing it, we may need to leave the C-ROC where it is. I'm personally indifferent about using the C-ROC as 'our' ship.

The YT is sil. 4 and the C-ROC (if I remember correctly since I don't have the book it is in) is sil. 5, so the YT might not have enough power (plus we need to return it).

Again, I feel like I have given out this information but no one has picked it up, so I'll spell it out plainly.

You have discovered a secret back door to a facility that, if you infiltrate it, it will be highly rewarding to you.

While the facility is currently controlled by bad guys, you have leaned that there is a distinct possibility of success. The empire is currently distracted. There is already an organized resistance to the Zygerrians. Your presence here is currently unknown.

I don't want to railroad you guys down this story line. I did create it specifically to collect all of your motivations and back stories as well as the features you chose to introduce through adding elements like the blue stone and the comm codes etc.

I want to make sure you aren't opting against it because of a lack of understanding.

I vote we ignore all the plot points and go fight the empire head on. </Kidding>

Ohh, uhhh, nevermind. I vote we go down the hole and beat the tar out of some bad guys!!!

I caught the ongoing plot, but was looking at all of the angles. It's something I do much to the frustration of my wife. :)

My hesitation with taking the plunge and going down there is we're a group of 6, equipped for a salvage operation, entering an imperial/slaver outpost to try and overthrow their entire operation. We don't know what we're up against, how many, etc. It's an imposing challenge, and quite an intimidating one. Of course, there are significant rewards too. Fzaexx could win major favor with the Hutts, Neelig gets to free what was probably his herd ship and herd, S'zish gets to really stick it to the empire, Tox gets to do some super good deeds, Brin gets to solve a mystery as well as good deeds, and Khaine can find some gadgets and possibly get some cash from the salvage as well as do some good. But we haven't heard from everyone yet so I didn't want to speak for everyone. All we need now is a princess and the promise of more money than we can imagine. LOL.

Oh com on, I didn't want to be cliche'

:P

I think I have an idea now, if there doesn't seem to be anyone down at the other end of the turbolift, we could send our 2-3 stealth-ish characters down to scout things out, or alternatively we could try to ask the mechanic (names escape me sometimes...) where the resistance against the slavers is holed up.

I like this idea!

We'll probably have to admit to her that we're not the resistance members she was expecting then. It was going to happen sooner or later.

@Hinklemar rolled a triumph when charming her. That will let things go over smoothly.

So do we want to decide what idea to use now, or do we want to see if anyone who hasn't posted yet has come up with anything?

Well, that's tough, I mean we have three PCs posting, so even if we voted, we don't have 51%. It has been implied that this is the path the story was taking, so it makes sense that we move forward.

Two of our better stalkers are active, so they could just go scout ahead and see what's what.

I'm gonna ask everyone to check in, in the next day or two. If you need to drop out of the game please let me know. We have been stalled out for a while and I want to get things moving again. I hope you all still want to stay involved but I understand if you can't.

It's not going to win any awards, but my IC is caught up.

I don't think there's any need for me to post IC right now. S'zish didn't do too much after the battle. @Ahrimon pretty much covered all that he did, and I can cover any post battle thoughts as we move forward.

Ditto

OK so its been a week and I have not gotten a response from @crookedcrown , @Hinklemar or @Weedles and Fries . I am going to have to assume that they are unable to continue. If you've been watching this thread and want to join the story send me a PM. I'll also put out a new post seeing if someone wants to join.

@Ahrimon , @Imperial Stormtrooper , @Mattimeo84 lets continue on with the three of you. The others are NPCs until further notice. You all should be up to speed with the situation. It's your turn to act. What do you do?

I vote we go down the elevator, scout the surrounding area and see what we can see. Try to blend in and gather as much information as we can. Hopefully Casea will join us as a guide as well as introduce us to the resistance.

Sounds good to me.

I posted IC with a pic that inspired Casea.

She is willing to join you but she was never exposed to the Herdship City and would not be able to act as a guide. She could try and introduce you to the Insurgents by contacting them over the radio, but it was never a reliable means of communication for them. It is also likely that the radio communication was monitored by the Zyggerians so they never discussed specifics.

@Ahrimon , sound like a plan?

Before we go down, let's organize our gear.

Can we take back the group supplies being held by the three (for now) npcs? Not their personal gear, but the purchased team gear?

That is fine. Casea is already carrying the one Medkit that Fzaex had been carrying.
