Shadows in the Light (OOC)

By Ryoden, in Star Wars: Edge of the Empire RPG

Go for it. She won't wake up for some time.

Any check required? Or just say she's tied up?

She's not struggling against you right now. If it matters later I'll have her roll against an appropriate difficulty based on your skill.

Khaine has his binders on him. Never leave home without them.

So now that you all are out of combat what are you going to do?

My thoughts:

  • we should try to access the computer at reception to get what information we can
  • collect what useful supplies we can from the slavers
  • see if we can pull bounties for any of them
  • rescue the slaves
  • see if the ship is flight worthy
  • deal with patrons

I'll start to arrange the slavers in a line for easier cataloging of gear and identity (bounties).

For the most part they are compliant. What tact are you using when dealing with them? Charm/Coercion/Negotiation/etc?

I thought they were all dead, blasted with holes.

If they are all still alive, then I need to rethink this.

Did you mean the patrons are all compliant? If so, we can deal with them as well.

There were 5 guards on the ground floor. One guard on the catwalks. All but one of these is dead. A single guard was stunned by the stun grenade you threw.

There was the receptionist and 13 patrons. You stunned the receptionist and killed two of the patrons. The rest are huddled on the floor.

They are all Zygerrians. (all "slavers")

Ok, you are correct, they are all slavers, I should have specified guards instead. Tox doesn't have great communication stats. GGG is her best, She knows there are others that are better (GGYY I believe)

Assuming we are all doing things congruently, and not waiting for the others to be done before the next task starts, Tox will collect all of the dead guards. Perhaps we cuff the guard that isn't dead and tie up the receptionist.

She will then catalog the usable gear and see what else they might have on their persons. Gear cataloging allows for Khaine to make or modify stuff for the group. Lining them up allows for Khaine and Tox to see what bounties they can collect. This frees up those with better people/computer/mechanic skills to do what needs done.

Ok it will take you some time to get that all done.

What is everyone working on first?

By that I mean the first task they are working on. Not that they need to do something before Tox does her thing.

S'zish would be trying to figure out the destinations of the turbolift that the royal patron tried to use to escape.

Fzaexx will come through the airlock, strip the spacesuit, take a moment to collect himself, and head down to the main floor.

Cool strain recovery:

The forgotten boost adds nothing to my natural 1 success, 6 advantage. I thought I had 2 more strain than what's listed, so with rapid recovery i'll recover all 4. With a pair of leftover advantage could Fzaexx will not only be cool as an icicle on hoth, but confident to boot (give myself a boost die)?

He'll stride across the floor, cape billowing from his quick pace, and pick out the most important looking patron to take aside for a private conversation.

Edit: With no backpack or anything the medkit would probably be easily recognizable.

Khaine is going to start by getting the patrons locked up in a cage. Then he'll get the remaining living guard tied up and lock him and the receptionist up in different cages. I want to make sure to give a quick search on just about everyone to make sure that they aren't hiding any holdout blasters or other things that they could use to escape. While he's doing that he's going to ask Brin to keep the prisoners calm and let them know that we're going to get them out of here. And then he's going to ask Casea to explain the situation. I'll tell her there was a mix up and we didn't get any details before arriving (Technically true, which is the best kind of true).

Some other things that we need to do in no particular order.

  • Find out if the ship is flight worthy.
  • Find out if there is an auxiliary flight deck? (doubtful, but you never know)
  • We need to hook the hunchback up by the cockpit and wire in the controls.
  • We need to have the DUMs remove the wings from the TIE and load it into the Freighter.
  • Find out where that turbolift goes.
  • Talk to Casea and find out what the heck is really going on around here.
  • If there's time, I'd like to use the Hunchback's tractor beam to collect some of the blue stuff outside.

Other than getting in it and hitting the down button how do you propose figuring this out? I mentioned that there is a data relay linked to it. However when Tox tried to flip the table over it was violently pulled. several wires are snapped and the display is dead.

Pause a bit before you get to the patrons please.

Entering the ship where you do, there is a turbolift directly in front of you. That one is untested so far.

Down the hall to your right is a turbolift shaft with a waiting car and Casea holding the door open for you. She is sizing you up and has the beginings of a dubious look on her face.

Do you disregard Casea and go down the lift in front of you?

Or do you go to her and ride down the waiting lift. If so what do you say to her?

How are you dealing with the patrons Charm Coercion or Negotiation?

At this time what is your Perception skill?

Casea will have a chance to talk with Fzaexx before you see her again. We can hold of on that for now.

I'll use some blaster coercion by using my pistol set on stun (not that they know that). I'll make an offhand comment to Tox when I switch that "I need to use the pistol because otherwise I could shoot right through one and kill two more. Ha!" before telling them to get into one of the empty cages.

My perception is a whopping 1A 1P, would you like me to roll?

Does anyone want to help me round everyone up?

Sure go ahead and roll a simple check for both your coercion and your perception.

Does anyone have a datapad? It would probably need a computers or mechanics check, but if the wires broke we could try running the feed into the datapad.

Either way it will require a mechanics check

Coercion : 2eA 2 successes, 1 advantage
a-s.png a-s-a.png
I'll use my advantage for a boost to the next roll.

Perception with Boost : 1eA+1eP + 1eB 2 success, 1 advantage
a-s.png p--.png b-s-a.png
And I will continue paying the love forward with a boost for the next roller.

Nothing of consequence happens or is found. There is some jewelry and mundane things like that but nothing worth noting down.
