Attacking Alsen Correct... Again : 1eP+3eA+1eB+1eC+1eD+2eS 3 successes

so 11 (8+3) damage.

You are able to dial down the spread on your blaster and put a clean shot into her abdomen. She cries out in pain and curls around her side but she is still standing (well crouching as the case may be)

I think we left off here on the IC posts. I'll pre-type mine up on a notepad while I wait for everyone to catch up. Or I could go ahead and post, but it could jumble things up a bit. Just let me know what you would prefer @Ryoden .

I'm not too concerned with it right now. The player IC posts often stumble over each other, so unless I need everybody to pause while I take some time to write one, feel free to post however you want.

How's it going @crookedcrown , @Weedles and Fries ?

Thanks for being so patient everyone. It's been a busy weekend. I'm trying to speed read through everything that's happened so I that don't hold everyone up any longer, and to make sure I have a good handle on the situation. Could I ask for a summary of the situation below us and the NPCs that are still standing? I think I want to start making my way down to the lower levels too, but I'm not sure how to do that.

One guard and the receptionist are all that remain from the Zygerrians who were participating in the combat. There are 11 other Zygerrians who have simply huddled together and taken cover.

So we have 11 potential slaves we can sell and a whole ship full of people we can free. Then we can build some makeshift living quarters on the edge of the salvage yard and let them live and work there while they save up enough for a ticket home. I'm liking this plan. And we get some inexpensive labor to help us out. :D

I do think we should capture the receptionist for some insight into their operations.

May as well fire at the guard then! What sort of check am I looking at?

From where you are directly above him it is is an easy check.

Firing down at a guard : 3eA+1eB+1eD 4 successes, 2 advantage
a-a-a.png a-s-a.png a-s-s.png b-s.png d-th.png

Maneuvering to aim and then firing down at the guard.. 10 damage before soak and 2 advantage (which I'll use to crit)... although... should I be adding the setbacks for the lights out? Or does that not affect us because we're the ones who are concealed?

Forgot to mention maneuver

You're the ones concealed.

The damage is enough to take out the guard. You can use the Advantage elsewhere.

I'm gonna try reaching out to @Weedles and Fries again.

I'll give the next ally a boost then

For now Neelig will run over to the container holding the female Ithorian you saw earlier and open the door. He'll then hurry inside and crouch down putting his arms around the other Ithorian who is trembling in a ball on the ground. They begin talking in Ithorese. It seems he is comforting her.

That ends the round. At the start of the next round:

NPC - Casea will scowl down at Khaine and grumble out " Stupid karking hotheaded blaster jockeys. Idiots like him are why I hated being a medic. " She then turns to Tox and smacks her on the shoulder " You, What happened to the plan? Did you bring the medkit like I told you to? " She'll then look at the lights that Fzaexx turned off and ask " How did you re-activate the ship's computer system? "

Are we going to attempt to coerce Alsen to surrender? If so I don't think that any of us in the cargo bay have coercion ranks, two of us have 3 Willpower S'zish and Tox. So if we're doing that who do we want to roll?

Coercion is not the only method by which you could achieve a surrender.

Coercion is "Do this thing or you will suffer if you dont"

Charm is "Do this thing because you think it is a good idea"

Negotiation is "Do this thing because you will benefit in these ways"

Deception is any of those three but is untrue.

How you say it matters, and that is why there are three separate skills. But any of them could achieve the desired result.

Also recall that Fzaexx could speak over the intercom.

I would also argue Leadership is do this thing because I said so (provided you're presence is commanding enough) and charm is more like do this thing because you like me XD

That is right on point for both accounts. But it should be noted that the difficulty to succeed is not the same for all skills. It would be far easier to Charm a Hutt that it would be to Coerce one or try to order it around.

I view "Because you like me" as encompassed by "Because you think it is a good idea" there are certainly times you could charm someone despite the person disliking you.

I'm willing to try some gun barrel intimidation for her to surrender. :)

Alright, what do you do and say?

Ok. I'll stand to my full height with my rifle at my shoulder and the slightly smoking barrel pointed at her head. I should hopefully have a few inches on her since I'm 5'11" and the average Zygerrian is 5'5" and she is crouching down by the console. If need be I'll use a maneuver to walk over to where she has no cover from me. I'll then slowly say "Drop...your...weapon. If don't want to end up like your friends over there, I suggest you comply."

I need to put some points into coercion. I've only got two green (and hopefully a couple of blues from the situation. wink wink nudge nudge).

Worded like that it is clearly a Coercion.

She has no ranks in Discipline but has a Willpower of 3.

The difficulty is reduced because of her injury. And you do get a Boost dice because you pointed out the one's you already killed. Also recall that you get a boost from Brin's advantage.

Does anyone have a medkit?

Also, did I miss something or forget something, or is Tox caught as unawares as I am that she is 'involved'?

She has been behaving and saying things as though she was expecting your attack on this slave brothel. You did not miss anything. She thinks you all are someone you are not.

The group purchased 2 different Medpacks but they are currently in the hold of the YT-1000

Ok, I have been scouring the last 10 or so pages thinking I committed to something I didn't remember.

I thought it was a case of mistaken identity, and you post alluded as such, just wanted some clarification, Thanks!
