I normally dislike a good wait and see what happens, but in this instance, anyone that comes into our area where we have blasters aimed and waiting is in for a world of hurt. This is like shooting gungans in a barrel.
Shadows in the Light (OOC)
I'm really hoping she can radio down that a capacitor blew and that's the cause of the energy spike. If not, I'm cool with blasting too. I'm thinking of taking up a post to blast anyone who goes near the turbolift if things go south.

Was I not clear in that one of them has already moved towards the turbolift. If that character takes another action they will be able to use it.
WE SHOULD PUT THE GRENADES IN THE TURBO LIFT AND PRESS LOWER FLOOR!!!!11!
I mean, he did mention that, how could we use this to our advantage?
You were. But if she cooperates they may stop. Mostly I'm just thinking out loud while I wait for it to be our turn again. Your little twist with her saying she's not ready has gotten me all excited. I must knows!!
As far as the grenade in the turbolift, the guy is heading for the turbolift in the cargo container, not the one we're at if I'm understanding correctly. I don't really want to damage our ship on the off chance that someone is at the bottom of our turbolift. Although, we could throw the grenade into that container with the turbolift to cut them off.

Well you'll find out when you have a chance to talk to her. And I should add that you already know something about her and the radio. The first guard called another guard to send her up. That does imply some things. It would not be out of the norm for a slave in the SW universe to be restricted from having access to more advanced technology including comlinks. Given that she doesn't even have a prosthesis is an good indication that this is the case here.

You are understanding that correctly.
So just the make sure I understand, the other NPC is heading towards a turbolift that is not on the diagram, not one that S'zish or the group is near.

Correct. Of the 8 recessed areas (4 top 4 bottom) in the cargo hold floor the bottom right is the one that leads to the turbolift that goes down.
Does this help picture it.
BTW I got Ventral and Dorsal backwards before. The one on the top of the ship is the Dorsal one. That's where the party is currently.
Edited by RyodenWoo, I come back to see things are rolling along again! I have some catching up to do! XD
Then, I think that S'zish will just wait to see what happens next while staying hidden.
Alright then.
NPC - Casea moves to the rifle and equips it (two maneuvers)
PC - Tox moves the body and equips the whip and comlink (two maneuvers)
NPC - Guards (minion group) move prisoners into cells and lock cell doors (two maneuvers)
PC - Brin takes comlink then deceives at Casea (maneuver and action)
PC - Khaine readies at door and gets his plaster pistol ready (I'm gonna call that a maneuver to move into position and a maneuver to aim)
NPC - In the hold below you the receptionist is gathering the patrons together and telling them to remain calm (maneuver and Charm check)
PC - Fzaexx monitors the feeds and relays the info to the party through their comlinks. (two maneuvers)
PC - Neelig exits onto the catwalks and charms Casea
NPC - A patron starts to leave through the cargo container turbo lift
PC - S'zish remains hidden
NPC - The Zygerrian from before. The one with the cybernetics on his head, is seen tapping a few buttons near his temple. A hologram appears in front of his eyes and he seems to be scanning for something.
Cyberguy checking for source of shooting
:

1 success, 4 advantage
Out loud he says "I'm sorry. I didn't think it could be an insurgent attack, my sensors say it came from... that way..." he then points up at where Neelig is standing next to the riffle wielding Casea. Many of the heads turn to look up. As they begin to recognize what they are seeing fear and derision can be seen scattered among the zygerrian faces below.
Top of next round to follow.
Edited by RyodenNPC - Casea is stunned for a moment as she looks down into the faces of her "masters". Then, without really thinking about it raises the riffle to her shoulder and aims at the face of the karking schutta who has kept her miserable for two years. "Hey Alsen" she calls out as she sights in on the receptionist. "dance to this" .
Shooting Alsen
:
2eA+2eB+1eS+2eD
2 failures, 3 advantage
She squeezes the trigger and a sphere of sonic energy so intense that it distorts the light flies down toward the receptionist, it howls loudly and leaves an echoing doppler effect in with its passage. The blast slams past Alsen and hits the cargo bay decking. With a bit of chagrin she says over to Neelig "I'm really not that good of a shot."
(Casea does an aim maneuver, suffers two strain to do a second Aim maneuver then makes an attack. The three advantage will be a Boost to the next PC and a Boost to Neelig's next action)
PC - Who is up? BTW from the catwalk to the cargo floor is medium range unless you move to be directly over your target.

I have no ranged weapon that can really do damage, I will take a later attack.
This is where I am imagining everyone to be at the top of round 3

Forgot to put in Fzaexx
What do you all think would be better? S'zish staying hidden until the right moment, or is this the right moment?
You have a pretty hefty gun, maybe come out firing. Tox can cross to you so you have backup in case anyone comes up the turbo life in your area.
I know Khaine will be very happy to unleash the pews on these sleemos.
3 minutes ago, Ahrimon said:I know Khaine will be very happy to unleash the pews on these sleemos.
Well he is currently two steps from being able to shoot down into them. Mechanically that is an incidental, and you have an aim from last turn.
Would I lose my aim if I switched weapons?
Does anyone else want to go first or can get our party (pun intended) started?
I am rather liberal with the Aim maneuver. I usually consider it to be any sort of "stand still and get ready to attack" So in this case no you would not lose it.
Well there doesn't seem to be any objections, and Khaine is quite the eager beaver to blast these guys so with a devilish grin Khaine will step out, holster his pistol and draw his rifle in one Smith motion. He'll draw down on the guy with the scanner. Unfortunately he has to eat two strain in order to holster and draw so no additional aiming.
I'm assuming 2D for medium range plus 1B for the aim. Any additional penalties (BBEG talents, etc) or bonuses (high ground) for the shot?
No ranks in Adversary for Cyberguy and yes +2eD for medium range.
Is "Higher Ground" one of those things mentioned someplace in the rules that I cant seem to remember or are you just coming up with it now?
Either way it sounds reasonable so with your Aim maneuver from last round and the high ground you should be at:
+2eB+2eD
Nothing from the game. I was just looking for a plausible example and episode 3 came to mind.
Shootung Cyberguy
:
3eA+1eP+2eB+2eD
2 successes, 1 advantage
That'd be 12 damage (pierce 2) and with the one advantage they stnd there stunned for a moment guving a boost to the next player.
If we drop the best boost for not getting anything from higher ground it'll be 11 damage (pierce 2).
You should actually roll another boost from the one Casea gave out. You may get some more advantage to use.
Regardless you put a smoking hole through Cyberguy's torso and he falls to the ground dead. ( I never even had a chance to name him)
Would you be so kind as to put in an IC post?
