More than likely he would bluntly state his desire to free his herd and by extension help free the others as well, though first he would probably grip her around the mouth as soon as she walked in and bring her to the wall (though not forcefully even though his voice would still have a bit of an angered undertone underneath his attempts at a cool collected and brief explanation given the circumstances.

And why would I want to leave a PbP such as this? ;)

Ok well there is no guarantee that she is going to be entering. Brin made a successful deception and she now thinks that the guard formerly known as Grakoon is in there and has demanded she hurry up. However she does know that some sort of thing is happening and she currently has a rifle in her hands.

What is it you do with your turn this round?

Would anyone have a problem if Neelig showed himself, leaning on his staff as if he needed it for support pretending to be a slave and rolling for a Deception check to try to convince her to enter?

Would that make her enter this round? Unless I'm mistaken she is already going to enter next round, and has made 2 maneuvers this round.

You dont know what she is going to do. All you know is she seems to believe that Grakoon is in where you are. (Because of Brin's deception)

Can we flip a force point to say if/when Neelig shows himself, she doesn't 'shoot immediately' and enters the door to listen?

I'm opposed to nothing. I think it's fun when things get a little out of hand, hahaha. It can go great or it can go terribly, so I'm in. I also just thought about this - if she is a slave and she has Grakoon's weapon, in the current situation, she might try to gun him down. Huh.

I thought of that. That's why I'm hoping that if she sees us she'll pause. We're probably better off opening the door up ourselves. If she is a slave and going to do the go out in a blaze of glory thing she may come in blasting. If she's not getting ready to go blasting we'll know as soon as she sees us. Either she raises the alarm or she doesn't. Either way, after Neelig ( @Weedles and Fries ) goes we should be back to the top and we'll know for sure.

Dictating another character's actions is a little beyond the scope of flipping a destiny point. The use your thinking of is more for adding an element to the scene. Like something that I haven't specifically stated as being present you can flip a destiny point to say it is. Usually it's for your own characters benefit. For instance, if I described the room and didn't mention anything about its lighting you could flip a destiny point to add that the lights are controlled in a way that you can affect.

Absolutely fair. My table gm only allows flips for die purposes and Dice For Brains allows flips for anything, so that is a fair midpoint.

Here is the guidance from the book.

Destiny can also be used by the players to introduce
“facts” and additional context directly into the narrative.
The GM already does this by managing and directing
the story, but this use of Destiny Points provides the
players with a means to make contributions as well.

Imagine the Player Characters land on a planet they
expected to have a breathable atmosphere, only to
find that a leak at the gas mining facility has rendered
the air toxic. One of the players suggests spending a
Destiny Point, saying, “Good thing you remembered
to pack those rebreathers last time we were in dry
dock, Arkhan.” While none of the players may have
specifically mentioned or listed rebreathers before,
it’s a sensible and creative addition to the game. If
the GM agrees, the Destiny Point is spent, and the
player’s suggestion becomes a true statement—there
are rebreathers handy.

Similarly, a player may spend a Destiny Point in
this manner to suggest finding a spare stimpack while
quickly scavenging through a medical facility or to
propose introducing a terrain feature the Player Character
can duck behind for cover.

So I guess we're still waiting on @Weedles and Fries to post his action for this turn?

...I thought I already did.

I thought we agreed I was going to try and convince the mechanic to enter. What would kind of dice am I looking at there for which kinda of checks?

Sorry the earlier post was worded like a question to the rest of the players.

If this is where you're going you do you need to decide what you say to her and how you act. Post it and I'll tell you the roll and difficulty.

In this situation I need you to present yourself IC before I know what the difficulty will be. Hence the order of operations.

I guess Neelig can either open the door and say hi or just wait for her to open the door and hope she doesn't start blasting us. Either way let's get this puppy moving again.

Sorry it took so long everyone, these last few weeks have been horribly hectic :(

No worries! Hope everything is ok!

just a heads up to everyone, my second child is due in the next few weeks. So there might be radio silence with zero notice. I'll do what I can to update, but wanted to give fair warning as well. I can promise at least one check in a day though.

Alright Weedles that is great and I wont need you to post a skill check. Mechanically it still counts as a maneuver to go through the doorway and a charm roll. But the difficulty is simple and based on what you said and you have a bonus success added to it. If you want to roll you can. It could net you some additional benefits from advantage or triumph.

I'm working on an IC post now that will bring it to S'zish's turn.

On my end, I'll be moving back to the US in a couple of weeks. I don't expect much disruption but I might disapear for a day or two here and there.

OMG! What did we just stumble into?!? :o

I can't wait to see where this is going.

I agree

Hmmm, what to do... Since S'zish still seems to be hidden what is everyone's thoughts on further scouting, or just waiting in place and hope the guards use the same lift as the mechanic?
