I'm more than willing to try for it. But unless we can likely one shot him, he could raise the alarm. Maybe bypass?
Shadows in the Light (OOC)
S'zish and I have guns big enough to pretty much guarantee that he'll go down, but my concern is the sound of the blaster fire.
Edit: I don't know how loud stun blasts are, but from what I remember from Ep IV they're pretty quiet.
Edited by AhrimonI think it depends on what catwalk means in this case, is it a single path, or does it branch out into more than one path?
If its the latter then S'zish might be able to sneak past the guard. Otherwise we might have to take them on, and if they're a rival they might not go down in one shot.
Tell you what guys, I'll put in some effort tonight to draw up deck plans for the C-ROC.
For now however, S'zish could try and sneak out onto the catwalks as well. It's dark and the guard is directing his attention downward. However the catwalks only run down the center and along the sides of the ship so there's not a lot of room to move about. I'm picturing the cargo bay being about the size of a tennis court. That's regardless of whatever measurements Woockipedia says about the ship. I find those to be chronically problematic.
The alternative is trying to make your way into the lower decks via the turbolift. The crew quarters are also multi-level and have ladders built into them. Think of it like the ones on Firefly. Meaning they each also have access to the next lower deck.
Does the door that we would exit lead onto the 3 catwalks? I'm guessing so since the bridge is closer to the top of the ship and the cargo bay would be on a lower level. If that's the case then it would be easier for Tox to slip up behind him and shank him. And that gives us the high ground to engage the bad guys below. Since they aren't expecting anything or even anything from this direction we should have a good element of surprise.
This is going to come to shooting eventually, but I think S'zish should at least try to sneak past the guard first, but have everyone else in position nearby. If it works we could get some very useful information, if not we lose our element of surprise against the one on the catwalk, and I'm not sure if we could deal with the guard in one round. From a OOC perspective, we can't know that the NPC is a minion, so they might not be easy to one-shot. Unless we tried throwing them off the catwalk, which would alert the others.
I say go for it S'zish. I'll be ready to shoot in case you need cover.
I agree, go for it.
@Ryoden is there a bulkhead between the rest of the ship and the door to the bridge? Something so that we could open up that door without depressurizing too much?
Lol, I'm torn between doing what my character would do and what I want to do. I'm going to stick with the character even if it's going to bite me and possibly the group in the rear. ?
@Ryoden What is the difficulty of the stealth check?

Character decision = most fun decision

Yes, but remember what happened last time you released a burst of gas onto the surface.

I'll ask for a stealth check after you describe your actions. But give me a bit and I'll give you a deckplan for the ship.
Sorry I've been a bit non responsive. Its been a busy weekend.
Edited by RyodenIt's been busy for me as well, so it worked out. Hope everything is ok!
Also busy, enjoy the rest of your weekend all!
Here is the first part of the deckplan. It shows basically where the walls are and the way the catwalks are layed out. The standard doors are one meter wide. The scale is 5cm per pixel.
QuoteBeyond the airlock is a small junction of a hallway. Immediately to your left is the bulkhead door that leads to the bridge, in front of you is another airlock presumably mirroring the one you just entered but for the far side of the ship. To your right an interior bulkhead door is closed, but a viewport reveals that there is a hallway Beyond it. The group cycles everyone through the airlock who is intent on entering the ship. You then start working on the interior doorways.
Despite having sat for years without use, the doors seem to open and close smoothly. It seems that whatever protocol was in place for depressurization closed the doors in this hallway. As you progress farther toward the rear of the ship, where the cargo hold and reactor room are accessed, you pass by multiple doorways leading to crew quarters.
At the end of the hallway you find what must be where escape pods would have been accessed. The escape pods are clearly gone however.
Beyond that the corridor ends and the hallways splits around two small circular rooms. Looking through a clear panel in a door you see that one is the ventral gunner station. The other is a turbolift.
Aft of where the hall circles the gunner station, another bulkhead door opens onto a catwalk above the cargo hold.
@Imperial Stormtrooper , do you understand the layout enough? The guard seems to be walking around the perimeter catwalks in a fairly regular circuit.
While S'zish is scouting Khaine is going to radio the DUMs and instruct them to remove the S-Foils from the tie fighter.

Remember that the DUMs are currently deactivated and inside the cockpit of the walker. TIE S-Foils are also notoriously fragile, what is it you have in mind?

So the three white lines right of the circular room are the catwalks?

Yes, the dark grey is the open area down to the cargo hold floor.
Oh yeah. I forgot they were disabled.
My line of thinking was that while we are occupied in here they can pull off the S-Foils and put the body into the YT. They can't be too fragile, the ship can land on them. If crap turns south, and c'mon we're PC's we know it's going to, at least this way the TIE body is in the YT so if we have to run we can at least deliver the part we were hired to get and maybe sell off a few other pieces to break even or turn a small profit. Because if we have to run, we're not going to have time to take the TIE apart.

You could get them started on that period but what with needing to reactivate them and describe exactly what you wanted to have done it would take some time and you have to be outside of the ship.
Maybe if S'zish takes the guard out quietly. But right now I think I'm better off inside just in case.
Is the tie fighter flight worthy? I can't remember and am on mobile.
Stupid autocorrects

No. It is significantly damaged.
