Shadows in the Light (OOC)

I would rather just disregard the variation in skill for the different arrows. If you are using a ranged weapon and holding it in both hands it is Ranged Heavy. But I'll read through it again before we have to decide.

That works just as easily, in fact, far more so than my convoluted idea. This is why you are the GM.

It might have something that incriminates the Empire was my thinking.

Yes I understand. I want to point out however that I wish to use a character that draws power from emotion unknowingly. Therefore he would be a dark sider (not villanously diabolical or vile), and clearing his mind would be total antithesis to him.

Trouble with "incriminating" the empire. They make the rules and define the crimes.

Could you define the revenge a bit more for me? If it is more specific than simply "sticking it to them" then I might understand better.

Do exiles and emergents use morality? I thought that was for F&D campaigns? I'm not trying to second guess, I'm honestly curious.

IC post up. I left it a little vague for my assistance with Fzaexx since he hasn't posted yet. Is what he finds out part of Chapter 3? I'm tingly with anticipation. :)

We also have blue substance in gravel that will be discussed soon.

Do I have to now include an Emotional Strength/Weakness or would Obligation alone be enough?

The Force surrounds us. It is a power that exists everywhere, but can only be accessed by living creatures who have the strongest of emotions (mainly sentients).

Drawing power from strong emotions is how all force users operate. The difference is that the light side is akin to a gift that the user receives. Whereas the dark side is more like something that the user takes. This is more my own musings than it is something defined by cannon.

Whole books can be written on the subject but for now lets bypass labels and stick to the mechanics.

It is obviously possible to fall to the dark side with the discipline check system I explained.

Having Neelig be mentally opposed to his emotional responses fits perfectly into the game just as is. If he does something that gathers CP then he will feel bad and try to accept it. Let's not label him as a dark sider until his morality actually falls below 30.

However falling to the dark side affects force users like succumbing to an addiction. At that time the addiction will be stronger than his mental opposition and we can revisit the point.

Yes it would be good for you to define them. They do not trigger like Obligation does but if you act according to them you will get dice roll benefits.

I'll let you bring it up IC when you feel it is appropriate but you notice that there was no sign of blue in the gravel. Some specks in the dust on top but no larger pieces in the gravel.

Ok, good to know. If the time comes up and feels appropriate, I'll make a passing comment

And thus we start chapter 3

In case it matters (you probably want us to spend XP before the session starts), I haven't spent any XP yet, nor from the first session (struggling with indecision, haha)

I'll be sure to make and post any XP expenditures here before anything significant happens!

I vote we leave the nice pimps to themselves...

Obviously we need to intervene. I'm so glad I got stealth prior to hearing part 3.

I'll have to fill in the details, but I spent my XP

Force Exile 20

Enhance 10

Control Resilience Upgrade (Enhance) 5

Uncanny Reactions (away from books, don't know exact name) 5

I will add emotional strength and weakness when I can. Do they have to be on the same row or can I mix and match the weakness and strength?

You can mix and match

I bought the jury rig talent and increased my mechanics to 2.

Questions:

Did the sound of the hatch alert anyone *that we know of*?
Are we sure that the feed is live and not a recording?
Was the blue stuff a complete red herring?

40 XP (15 from first session, 25 from second)

20 XP Gunslinger Specialization

5 XP Rapid Reaction

5 XP Quick Strike

10 XP Quick Strike

That's a good question. How does your character go about answering it?

It seems to be a live feed yes.

Wouldn't you like to know?

Haha wait I know. It was not a red herring, it was a blue mon calamari!

Get it? Blue cuz the stones were blue and mon calamari because Star Wars

Ok, that joke was bad enough, I think we earn a free answer if they heard the hatch or not...

Yes yes well before we get any further let's all roll for the destiny pool.

Chapter 3 : 1eF 2 Light Side

If we need a new Destiny Pool roll. Also, may we heal strain?
