They did not not do they now see a pattern. It is a daunting pattern to see. You succeeded where they failed but your success does not grant them a re-roll on their attempt to see it.

Also to be clear, Brin only suspects there might be a pattern. Not even a pattern really just a less "randomly dumped from orbit" area is all.

Here's what I'm thinking though. Some of these ships may have still been serviceable so they were parked here instead of dumped from orbit. Then they were burried in this stealth moon dust to keep people from trying to take them. Another option could be that these ships may be part of a bigger plot. I'm just not sure what that plot may be.

That is a fine theory for the player to have, but do try to keep from metagaming. Khaine does not know what Brin is talking about and does not "see it" when he looks.

That being said, I move that we land and see what we can determine from the surface. Especially if that was originally the group's plan. Brin is wary.

Can I roll a perception check? I want to see if when Tox cleaned off her blades she noticed anything in particular about any lingering dust.

Ok lets see. You go about cleaning your blades and suit and notice a peculiar thing about the dust. Most of the dust is a nondescript grey color but scattered throughout are fine blue speckles the same color as that pebble you found next to the Hunchback. However, you are distracted by this and forget to reset the spring on the blades after you close them up. Next time you go to use them you will need to do a maneuver to "draw" them out.

I can live with that threat.

So, ruminations. I said IC that that pebble reminded Tox of the skies on her home planet. Tox also felt the stone brought her luck. I am guessing this is fun fluff, but if anyone else has ideas, I'm open to them.

Hmm, a walker with an imperial comm key found with a blue rock that's made of the same sensor scrambling stuff that an imperial fleet dumped the wreckage from a battle on. The mystery deepens.

I had thought of this last night but hadn't had a chance to get to it but I was wondering if Khaine could use the med kit as an improvised science kit to scan the blue stuff or Tox's rock? A med kit should include scanners capable of analyzing elements in order to detect toxins and such.

edit: Once we land we could use the scanners in the walker too.

Oh on the contrary, the medical scanner allows you to try, but is the wrong tool for the job and gives you a setback. The difficulty of scanning something that repels scanners is Daunting (4) and by it's nature it upgrades the check twice.
