To clarify, As players, you know that there are those 4 ships out there. Your characters do not know that for sure.

For each ship I am asking for skill checks not to determine "if" you find them but more to represent how long it takes to find them. I am still waiting for a few Perception checks (from @Weedles and Fries , @crookedcrown and @Hinklemar ), to answer that question for the C-ROC.

lol sorry I missed that post somehow and now everything makes a lot more sense. Can I get a boost from my advantages earlier for my post-battle cool check? I wasn't sure if you provided an answer for that, but I think it was yes.

Yes you can.

I posted the ship find IC, How long it took you to get there is to be determined.

I vote to land

Perception Check: Survey the Shroud : 3eA+4eD 0 successes, 1 advantage

Darn. I'll use the Advantage to say the view at least calmed his nerves a bit, recovering 1 strain.

I... t hink I see something down there...

An actual success huh? I sent you a PM

Thanks, I'll post something IC soon

Assuming we can tell it's part of a larger piece, Fzaexx suggests landing.

His only concern would be that it looks like it'd take a lot of digging if we wanted to do do anything except carry things out a top hatch (assuming a top hatch is even exposed).

Those concerns are not unfounded.

The only obvious opening is the one where the damage is. Perhaps another could be found though...

To be clear, Brin is the only one who thinks he sees what may be a pattern.

My personal vote, after what happened at our first landing, is that we find out the condition of each ship then decide which ones we want to land at.

We could maybe use our ship's engines to blow the dust away, but that would leave a pretty obvious signal to anyone that we are down here messing around. Another option would be to land and use the walkers tractor beam to move the dust or lift the ship up. If it can lift a sil 4 ship in normal gravity we should be able to lift a sil 5 ship in 1/4 gravity by lifting the fore and aft separately.

Yep, no idea what he's talking about, but now I'm extra curious. :D

Allow me to rephrase. Tox is still very excited and wants to go down and see what's there. I, not so much

lol

I mean, I could attempt a leadership check or something (GM permitting) to try to convince you guys that's the case. But TBH I'm not sure what we'd do with that info if I did. It's clearly a meaningful clue! Maybe a smarter character could determine what that means if I manage to convince them!

That's not cryptic at all

Most puzzles I've encountered have more than one piece. Perhaps this one does as well?

That's not cryptic either

Player knowledge, I think we have two pieces of the puzzle so far.

Edit: And I think I may have an inkling of what it may be.

@Ryoden If Brin is the only one who has noticed a pattern, can I attempt some kind of leadership check to convince the group that there's a pattern? It might get the rest of them looking for clues, or at least increase their awareness (perception? vigilance?) when we hit the surface.

Can't he just tell us?

You've already mentioned it to them. I don't see a skill roll being appropriate.

OH okay - I thought this meant that I'm the only one who sees the pattern, even though I mentioned it to them already IC

Or rather, that they're not inclined to act on it because they don't see the pattern.
