Shadows in the Light (OOC)

@Ryoden Can S'zish see anything beyond some of the blaster fire? If not would a perception check to figure out what's going on be considered a maneuver or an action?

From your Vantage Point outside the airlock you can see that the combat is taking place. You are at short range to it but the murkiness in the dust causes there to be a significant penalty to any attack action. You could attempt to sort out what you are seeing with a perception roll but anytime you make a skill check it is considered an action.

Like Brin was, you are at short range to the combat. Won the maneuver and you can be there and see things clearly. But then you would have to make a fear check.

Sorry to have ruined your plans with my inept gameplay.

You didn't ruin my plans. You ruined the plans of the worm. Do you know how long it's been since he's had a nice and juicy Nictu to digest? He was really looking forward to it.

Tox is all scales and horns, she wouldn't be very tasty.

Are the worms afraid of fire? Most beasts seem to be, are they like the majority?

If Neelig would like to make an knowledge xenology roll as his action this turn he could try and identify what sort of creature this is. With that I might be able to answer the question.

So, I'm guessing my best chance is to smack it with a stick. I'm looking at a 3eA+1eP+2eD+1eS with my 'hickory stick' if I go that route and 3eA+1eP+1eD+1eC+2eS with a shout of I swerve to that path instead, right?

There is another setback for the low gravity for the stick option. Otherwise you have it right. You are currently engaged to the one grabbing Khaine and don't know where the one that missed Tox went to. (did you see we edited the attack on Tox)

Setback for low gravity? Edge Core 213 says that lighter than normal gravity adds boosts, not setbacks, to any Brawn based skill checks (besides Resilience) or the Coordination skill. Is this different for combat?

I'm sorry if this seems brash.

No it is not different for combat. Honestly I had overlooked that rule. Oops.

The ruling that I had made and was going with was that fighting in low gravity is foreign to you all so you needed a round to get used to it. I was not going to impose it on anyone's melee or brawl check after the first time.

The worms did not have a setback because they have been living on the moon for a long time but I also did not give them a boost because of it.

We can switch to RAW or continue with the house ruling I had made. Since it's affecting your character right now why don't you choose for us.

The house rule makes sense to me...however...

We'll let fate decide, huh. I just happen to have a chance cube here. 1-50 it's the house rule, 51-100 the RAW.

Pointless Phantom Menace Reference : 1d100 2

You won the small toss, GM. ;)

Haha all right then. Do you know the difficulty for your melee attack?

3eA+1eP+2eD+2eS right? So that would be 1 Maneuver to draw his staff and one action to strike the worm engaged with me and Khaine. Would this be alright?

Looks right to me.

Neelig suffers a point of Strain from that Threat.

Get me an IC write up and let's start round 2.

Who's up first?

I vote for @Imperial Stormtrooper so he can get in on the action!! XD

I'm free to make an attack as well. But let's let @Imperial Stormtrooper have some fun.

Let's see if we can also dislodge Khaine.

Ok guess I'll take the first slot, @Ryoden if I got closer and had to take the fear check would S'zish get a boost die from having hunted various creatures in the past? Also what are the "significant penalties" if S'zish doesn't move?

Would Neelig's strike have any effect on Khaine's predicament?

Not yet, the damage was not enough to cause any problems

Just getting prepared for my next turn, trying to think my options through.

What is my range to the present stoopa sleemo ?

Short to the one grabbing Khaine. Unknown to the one that missed you.
