I think in that case S'zish would probably enter the airlock at least, so he'll do that.
I'll edit the IC.

Do you say anything over the coms?
Yes, and I think that I put it at a good point, thematically.
My vote is whomever has the best chance of landing a shot takes it. Let's try and flush out whatever it is. It doesn't make much sense to send in a melee or brawler yet. My biased two cents.
Someone could also toss their fusion lantern towards the shape and see whatever it is before they attack.

Those are good suggestions. Tox, your vigilance check was the highest. That thing off to your left. It is definitely a thing. Barely visible as the dust swirls.
Can we know size and relative combat bands to where I am standing.
I assume not engaged or close. Maybe medium or long?

It would be considered to be at close range and you only have a vague idea of where it is. The dust is THAT thick. If you want to see it you will need to engage with it. Or study it long enough to get a better picture. (ie take a perception action)
Edited by RyodenIn lieu of making that check, could I make an athletics check to toss my fusion lantern at its feet(?) then make my next action based on said result?
Short range is obviously reachable on a toss (i.e. Net), but as I am just looking for ball park, and not combat, that's why I think athletics.

It would require only a Maneuver to toss your lantern. But you'll need to commit to using the initiative slot first.
What does the team think? Should I go? Or someone else want it?
Now that Khaine knows that there is something out there I'm willing to go.

Lol I say go for it XD I'm always a fan of 'just wing it and see what results we can get', especially when there's no particular urgency. So yeah, I vote yes.

Looks like that's a yes. Give me a sec and I'll put up an IC post.
Ok Tox, Neelig and Khain need to give me Discipline checks. This thing causes a fear check when you first see it. It is a Hard difficulty +3eD.
Tox it is still you turn. You have at least an action to do.
I'll get up a response here for a roll as soon as I can research a bit about this thing (basic height weight, is it poisonous)
If Tox wants to wrack her brain and try to figure out what that thing is she can roll a Xenology check as her action.
I don't give out free knowledge checks during combat.
Sorry the fear check can be made with Cool or Discipline
Try again
Edited by RyodenYou are right. I must have mistyped. I'll reroll and edit the post. Thanks for the catch.

Not at all. I appreciate you catching my mistake.
FYSA, I'll be getting on a plane in an hour or so and will be unavailable for a while. I may not get to an IC post until later today.
As this beast lunges at me (us), does that put it in engaged range?
if so, I make an engaged attack. If I still have a maneuver left before my attack, may I aim to gain a boost die?
