Shadows in the Light (OOC)

We did only have two vote yes so far. So I don't know if we should have been setting down just yet.

To be fair, Fzaexx will vote yes. S'zish votes no. We need your vote and Neelig. If you vote yes, simple majority. If you vote no, thats 3-2, with Neelig being either the Majority or tied vote.

While it is true that the post you made asking for like-votes has only two likes I have seen 4 players indicating a desire to land and search the Minstrel. That's why I asked for the roll. Considering that the only player to sugggest against doing so is the one who rolled I think it is safe to move forward. Don't worry, one little Despair is hardly going to cause a TPK.

I'm not worried about the despair. More concerned with the democratic process. :D

Unfortunately I can't like my own page post. Narcissus ruined that for everyone on the forums. But my vote is yes.

So thats 4 votes for, 1 against, and 1 unknown. Majority wins.

That does bring up a conundrum. Perhaps from now on, whomever suggests the vote to do something, we take that as a vote of yes as well?

Seems prudent

Looting the Minstrel

Presuming you guys are going to spend a bit investigating the interior of the Yacht I will let you roll to see what sort of loot you find. Roll against a simple difficulty (no dice) with whatever skill you think would be appropriate. So long as you can justify why it should work for you. Tell me what skill you would like to use and explain how you are using it before you roll. I'll tell you what you find, and you can post about it IC.

If there is a specific place you are going to search, or a specific thing you are going to try and find I will address that separately from the results of the above roll.

@Ryoden So do we need to make any kind of check to reach the yacht, or is it not a problem (yet).

Also who wants the slicing gear, I'll take it if no one wants it, but S'zish isn't a computers expert.

Tox is going to the hanger to see what ships are there. She wants to see if she can find shuttles or ships that can help the team.

Piloting Space? (3eA)

No not a problem yet. Getting into the Minstrel is simple enough.

Piloting Space?

The hanger will be addressed after everyone has made their rolls.

I don't see how piloting space would apply in this situation. Maybe if you were perusing a shipyard and trying to determine the best ship there, but not in this case. Perception will work if you cant think of anything else.

@Ryoden Do the space suits have com-links in their helmets? If we haven't said either way yet, could a DP flip make sure they all do?

EDIT: Also would coordination work? For moving towards areas, that would be tricky to reach otherwise? If not I'll just roll perception, which I might do anyway, since S'zish has a proficiency dice in it.

Yes you will need to flip a point to declare that as true.

On another note I have apparently used all of my available likes today. I guess that's a thing.

My thoughts were she was looking to fly a shuttle out, hence piloting. But I see your point.

Perhaps coordination? It's dark, there is deep dust, and the ship is at a wonky angle, so it would be harder to traverse?

Does that sound good to everyone?

Sounds good Roll a simple (0 difficulty) coordination check. I'll tell you what you find and you can describe in IC.

One boost from stalker... not that it did anything

Can I perform a Knowledge (Underworld) check to determine whether or not I would have a clue as to where to start looking? I'm basically wondering whether or not Brin would have an idea where a vault or safe that he might be able to break into using his Skulduggery might be on the yacht. Otherwise, I would just roll coordination like everyone else.

Space suits include Commlinks according to the book.

Here's where things are going to be busy for me. Hopefully not too busy.

If we're going to try and get the ship working there's 3 things that I think we need to do. I'm assuming that these won't be a simple check.

  1. The first thing I'm going to do is bring the DUMs with me to check the ion drive engines and the repulsor lifts for the ship and see if they are operational. If they are then we may be able to salvage the entire ship.
  2. If the engines and lift repulsors are working, we need someone to do a systems check and see if it's actually flyable.
  3. If it is, we need to use the walker's tractor beam to clear the debris from the ship.

For my personal search I want to try and either find an armory, or assuming that everyone was geared up and ready to fight some bodies to loot. I'm looking for Blaster Rifles, preferably with mods, and some battle armor (Rebel Heavy Battle Armor (Forged in Battle:49), Mandalorian Armor (No Disintigrations:49), or Heavy Battle Armor (Core:170) in that order of preference. My recommended skills Pilot:Space(using Int) to know the best place on a ship to put an armory in a ship like this. And Ranged:Heavy to ID good choke points where I could possibly find bodies to check. I am willing to flip a destiny to find some of this outright.

The last thing I would like to look for is a safe of some kind if there is time.

Hold on guys. Not everyone is supposed to roll Coordination. You each pick your own skill.

In any event, I decided I'm gonna roll Skulduggery to check for hidden compartments and such XD I was just hoping for your input on that Underworld question - or maybe even Streetwise, because, being a smuggler, Brin might just have a good sense where a good place to hide something like that would be

I thought we were just looting this ship, I didn't think we were gonna attempt to fix it up. I may have misunderstood.

You could use that skill for your search its self if you like. Or roll Skuldruggery or whatever. You sell it to me, and I'll let you roll with it.

Pick one course of action in regards to looting. Fixing is an entirely separate endeavor that the group has not decided on.

@Ryoden I think I asked about using coordination before @Mattimeo84 ?

Give me a roll. Any of those three would be suitable for it.
