You once heard it said "You can find anything you need on Couruscant, and find anything you want on Nar Shadda. The price changes, depending on location". The smugglers moon has always been a center of commerce. As the eons progressed that commerce shifted to the blacker sides of the market. The Hutts who controlled the moon never seemed to care about the morality of the business' only the profits. The empire came to power. A shining light of order and law, cleansing the chaos from the galaxy.
They tried shining that light into the gloom of Nar Shadda four years ago. You were there. You stood on the street looking up at the darkened sky. Just barely visible beyond the haze you saw the lines of turbolaser beams and the flashes from concussion missiles. The empire came to destroy the entire city moon. Burn the scum from the face of the galaxy. The scum responded. You knew some of the crews up there. The ones who fought to defend their home, their investment, their future. Seems like they won, despite the losses. After all, here you are, standing on Nar Shadda. The place is still as gloomy as ever, literally and figuratively.
Over the intervening years you've kept track of whats been going on with the wrecks from that battle. In typical order the empire came sweeping in after their "defeat". They must have made some sort of deal with the Hutts because before any locally based salvage crews could move in the whole battlefield was tractored out on to one of the smaller moons of Kiskua. Right next to where the local Imperial Task Force maintains its orbit. The official reason was to keep any "imperial technology" out of the hands of the civilian populous. Who knows that may even be the real reason. You've looked at the long range scans and, near as you can tell, all the obvious imperial wrecks have already been cleaned up, but none of the rest have. Seems a bunch of rusting smugglers vessels don’t look all that interesting to the deep pockets of the empire.
You know there is something worth your time out in that morass of twisted metal and irradiated scrap. And as luck would have it, some major dust up out in the Abrion sector has the empire hopping. The star destroyer and her escort ships all jumped out of the Y'Tub system less than an hour ago.
There are some others who you've talked to, brainstormed with them on how to access the wrecks. Seems they had the same idea, cause you're now meeting with them to figure out the details and go out there and get what you want.
