Soulless, you should pick out an avatar ;P

Why? If he's soulless, can't he remain avatarless? :)

It is not as fun and it makes it hard to recognize him vs random newbie

My FLGS got 3 cores but 2 of us Pre-ordered...

Mine are all glued ready for battle tomorrow. Time to real in some more people into the game!

So if im reading the learning battle correct, the Waiqan player doesnt even get any runes? Im not seeing ANY mention that he ever attempts to generate tokens, which means no reanimate for him.

Not sure if thats intended or not. On paper it kinda feels like the waiqan have an advantage in the learning game so im kinda thinking thats a balancing step for that specific game, but not in the usual matches.

Runes are shared between the players I believe.

I can attest that having a Golem in a block of spears is the way to go. 4 damage and an accuracy is much harder to do. And if they throw that at the Golem instead of removing a tray of spears; it doesn't sting as much.

Also not much wants to touch a spear unit with 2 rerolls and a threat of 4 or 5.

As lyraeus mentioned, the energy runes are shared between both players. They also arent "spent" but apply their effect to the entire battlefield over the whole turn.

At the end of every turn the runes are thrown again by the current first player, which changes every turn. So both players alternate generating the runes turn by turn.

Hey guys, I know that the dial on the Stone Golum is RED, but the Runes that are used to modify his DEFENCE is BLUE.

Right?

Yes.

The defence modifier is red, which means it can only be used together with a red action. The colour on these dials is referred to as "stance" and has nothing to do with the colour of the runes.

The defence modifier does however refer to the stable runes which is indicated by the blue squarish icon.

Odd to have "stable" as red... Hmmmm there is an interesting color dichotomy herem

i dont think the color choices other than white actually mean anything. They just have to match, with white being a wild card.

Even if it is odd to have defend be red, it prevents the golem from just perma-tanking since it can only get the defend modifier if it attacks or does its special action.
