Gave it a quick look, it looks quite comprehensive and should be really helpful, especially for beginners.

But I'm only a level 2(-3) of 5 painter, so what do you think? And anyone who could comment about the guide in more detail (looking at you, Sorastro, but not only you, I'm sure there are more pros around here)?

It is a quick and easy style of painting that has been used for a while now. This is used by anyone typically who has to paint a lot of miniatures.

Dipping is just like washing but a bit thicker. You do have to worry about it drying shiny but that is fixed with Matt Varnish as shown in the guide.

I have an airbrush so I can pick and choose my base colors more but this is a great technique and easy to replicate in mass which is important in games like this.

I think this guide will be very helpful to both new painters and also experienced painters who realize these minis could look great enough with the tabletop quality provided by base coating and quickshade. Looks great for my zombicide minis and these are made of similar plastic.

I've always just used Nuln Oil and done selective shading, but the dip method looks intriguing for a large army. It's set up for the right consistency so highlighting is minimized after?

Pretty much. Highlighting is done by choice at that point. It does have to cure for about a day or two but if you are doing them in batches you can run through a Tyranid force of a few hundred Gaunts in a day or two and let them dry... The hordes...
