They could time it with/after the release of a dual faction Dreadnaught.

Plenty of secondary character from the Thrawn Trilogy to add as officers/possible Admirals (Winter, Feyla, Pelleon, Niles Ferrier, etc.), though I'm stumped on a new Rebel Admiral. I can't recall anyone other than Garm.

and other stuff I'm leaving out, I'm sure.

While I wouldn't mind a Dreadnaught...I don't think we will get much else from the old EU at this point. I think most of the new stuff will be from the newer books (i.e.: Norra) or from new movies or Rebels (quasar).

But... I predicted it. It must now be so.

None of that is canon anymore. Thrawn is back, but not the rest. More likely to get a Rebels campaign.

They could easily do season three of rebels as a campaign featuring Thrawn. The Empire is searching for the rebel base and the rebels are focused on raiding the imperials and preventing them from destroying a facility on the Imperial capital.

They could do a bunch of objectives based around rebels episodes.

Maybe the rebels dont start with every ship available and have to get more ship types from raids.

It might be interesting to release a campaign boxed set with 1 new Imperial commander (Thrawn of course) and 1 new Rebel commander. The new commanders would be the "Grand Admirals" for each team and the storyline would pit them against each other. While this limits fleet options a bit, it could increase the narrative element of the campaign (and I'm sure there could be an option to play whatever commander you wanted).

It would also solve the problem of always having to release a commander with a ship when that might not be feasible.

I think they should stick to new admirals with each new ship. We get Thrawn in a new ship, and new ISD titles in the next campaign box, that way we have to buy both the new ship, and campaign to get Thrawn onboard the Chimaera

The Wildspace Campaign? The Unknown Regions Campaign?
