Whistler: He does synergize with Corran, which is important. It's just hard to beat R2-D2 on him. Not that he should beat R2 for 2 points, but I'm not sure I'd rather try to make him work instead. Then again, people do love their Engine Upgrades on Corran, so this is a half-price, limited Engine, kinda like "Leebo" crew. He's probably fine as-is.

Deegan: That's true, FCS of course being the most iconic System, and it's not like he's the first pilot with a must-have upgrade stapled to him.

Would Lt. Blount be broken if he was a crew that just let him have his pilot ability on whatever ride he's in? Your attacks hit the defender, even if they do no damage. I guess that would break ion turrets and ion cannons, though.

I keep trying to make his Pilot card work ... He does fairly well as a wingman to Dash or Rey. (Now that Manaroo is not a thing anymore, Eaden has become a bit less effective.)

Yeah I just can't seem to fit him into a list.

Going to be starting a HotAC campaign this weekend though and am absolutely combining his pilot ability with R3-A2!

Sian Tevv would be fun in Heroes of the Aturi Cluster.
