Fast Weapon v Action Refresh on misses

By player529870, in Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay

Hey yall,

Just had a good question possed tonight by one of our players.

It says in the Action Card Elements section of the players rulebook that an action need only have recharge tokens placed on it when it is succesful. That's fine, an attack action is not succesful, no recharge tokens are placed. The weapon quality of FAST as noted on page 74 states that when a weapon with FAST misses (IE is unsuccesful when the check is rolled) one less recharge token is placed on the used action card. So... no recharges are placed on an action card unless it is succesful, but fast allows you to take off one recharge token from a missed action? What gives here? Is it clear what I am asking? It seems one rule is contradictiing the other and I dont have a resonable explaination for it. Did I miss an erratta somewhere?

Thanks in advance.

WFRP Rulebook, p. 74

The Fast item quality printed in the rulebook is incorrect. No
recharge tokens are acquired if the action misses. The following is
the correct description:
These weapons are generally easy to wield and agile.
Attacks made with weapons with the fast quality gain:
Eagle: Place one fewer recharge token on this action

Woohoo!

Thanks. it looks like I did miss it.
