How long ago were these recorded? I know one of the points of this podcast is to get knew players caught up to whats going on, but you could do that faster by tying in knowledge from the official rules pdf and later articles to help give a clearer picture of how the game works. It will help the latecomers and won't drive away people that have been with the game for months and are up to date.

This is coming from someone who has to wait 37 more hours to pick up his copy.

I have to wait till Friday so Shhh you... 69 hours...

Direct downloads have been added to the podcast templates.

We started playing around recording the first three episodes before the rules scans made it to the forums. Our next episodes will be more focused toward mechanics, how we played our first games and how our demo weekend went.

I recommend posting that as part of the bio so people know that those 3 are prior to the rules being released

Giving it a listen. Good job, guys!

I'm not far in, but I heard you say something about movement deduction being clarified on the forums. I'm not sure what discussion you're referring to, but figured I'd point out.

RR-56.2 - A movement modifier's speed is always added to or subtracted from the selected action's speed, Bullet 2 - IF a movement's speed is zero or lower, the active unit cannot move during its activation.

If your speed is reduced to zero, you do not still have to move. In fact, you cannot move.

EDIT: You also can't run off the board. Board edges are considered obstacles as per RR-59.

Where are you located? 69 hours is 2 days and 21 hours which where im at would put it at friday evening 7pm-ish mountain standard time.

Ok great job it's a good listen except for one thing.....

It's a die. Not "a dice" die is single. Dice is plural.

A die. Those dice.

Sorry after 3 I have to say something.

Actually, dice is allowed as the singular now. Pretty much just because people always got it wrong so they made it right.

According to the English Oxford dictionary: " Historically, dice is the plural of die, but in modern standard English dice is both the singular and the plural: throw the dice could mean a reference to either one or more than one dice"

Well then: Alea iacta est ;)

Nevertheless good to know.

Really? There is so much I don't like about this ugh. Well thanks for the info.

Portland Oregon. So around 630 pm or so since I get off work at 530 and have to get to the game store. I get paid Friday as well.

Agreed. It always sounds strange to me, but I still accidentally use dice as singular all the time.

I read the Age of Sigmar rules a few weeks ago and they use "dice" as both singular and plural. It drove me nuts the entire time I was reading it.

In the UK they've been using 'dice' singularly for quite some time, but that isn't true in the US.

Hey guys, bit of feedback for you:

You're too quiet, I can't hear you!

I may be the only one with this issue, I don't know. I guess what you might have done is lower your volume until the background noise and static etc. was gone? I don't know, just a possibility. I can hear the intro music just fine, you've upped the volume for that, but I genuinely couldn't listen to the 2 episodes because it was too quiet (significantly too quiet).

I hope this can be addressed in future episodes, as I'm totally on board for listening to the podcast!

Seemed fine for me, the intro music was way too loud though.....

Agreed. The intro music is not balanced to when you speak. I had a hard time and I maxes volume on my phone.

Great podcast! I managed to completely miss the rules for mortal strike, now I'm really looking forward to the elves being released.

I can't say I had any issues with the audio being too quiet, but I definitely noticed the difference in volume between the intro music and the main content.

Thanks for letting us know! As this is a fan made podcast we are still on a bit of a steep learning curve, but we're working on it!

I beg for patience and as always thanks for listening!

The HotLZ was the same. George has gotten us on track though. We are almost 12 episodes in (1 episode every 2 weeks). Don't sweat it. Your first 5 episodes are what I call the "testing phase"
