Why even mention this? the secondary market in anytime does this. In every game you listed (which you also knew nothing about this makes you ignorant) this practice happens.

Pre release product as in the kits? The kits were not pre release product they were a teaser for stores to use to get excitement for spirit.

Speaking as someone who mostly lurks but would like to see and use these boards as something other than a place for people to have pissing contests, I respectfully request that both of you take your shouting match and name calling to private messages please. The rest of us are really tired of hearing it. We get it, some people think FFG massively screwed up and are continuing to do so. Some think they are doing their best to fix it and can't stand to let the angry people spout their anger. We understand. Really. You don't have to say the same **** things over and over and over and over and over and over anymore. Take your argument private. I like to be done until may 4th to see what happens, but I don't take kindly to be called a whiny baby because I speak up against the comp. Be positive is great but there a difference in being positive and just ignoring reality. I am just looking out for the future of the game I care about it as much as anyone here, there is so much players will take before they give up and try something else the star wars licence will only take them so far. Right now it may be fine is your area but what will it be 2 sets from now if this continues to be a problem?

I'll also remind members that there is a wonderful 'ignore' function that exist. So if a member annoys you, you can always put him on your list and you won't see his messages anymore.

I finnaly reached my limit and ignored these two. I think the qualty of my forum experience should improve now.

Hey on a brighter note Team Covenant just confirmed that they will be able to fulfill all SOR saga set orders. They will ship out the end of next week.

Also still trying to decide whether to get a full box or not. At this point I'm hanging onto my preorder for one box(originaly had two. decided I wasn't up to the cost), so I can get some new cards for sure, because due to my sisters' graduation, I'm going to be out of town for the release tourney, and likely won't be able to buy until the following wednesday. So I don't know if I'll be able to get singles. All I need is half a box to keep competitive where I'm at.

Since Team Covenant does such a good job of advertising FFG's products, actually better than they do, they really should have their ordered filled in full.

Well I don't buy the Saga sets. TC has a rational for them, it seems legit, and the price is less than what they would get for selling each card individually and in fact is priced where I don't see them making any real money off of it after labor. If you are into opening boosters, the Saga set is not for you. It's for the person that wants nothing to do with boosters or collecting/trading/buying singles.

Not read it all as on phone, but as long as I can collect at worlds, I will be as happy as a pig in s**t. Hopefully they will also have the new IA release as well seen as it is released the week after. It would certainly round off my 1st worlds event a treat.

It seems that is what all of the big stores are doing. One of the big online sellers has there physical store near me. They never have any Destiny in stock, while other small stores do. It looks like they take the Starters and boxes they receive and instantly salvage them for singles.

I agree. Sometimes, the local game stores do it in a more surreptitious way... I remember one guy who bought like 10 boxes and then sold all the duplicates back to the store, so he ended up getting a whole collection for the price of a box or two, and the store ended up breaking down a vast proportion of their stock and selling it as inflated-price singles (obviously with no stock of Luke and Vader.)

I'm just hoping that FFG will ramp up production enough to let the free market handle this one - if supply matches demand, stores will make more money selling booster packs than selling singles, because they'll sell more and won't have to waste space storing all those singles. I think we'll just have to wait.

The game's still pretty new, and nobody knew what a huge deal it would be. I'm still optimistic that in 20 years people will still be playing this one and loving it, similar to our old frenemies MTG and Pokémon!

Saga Sets are slightly less then 3 boxes worth of Rares and Legendary cards for slightly less then the MSRP of 3 boxes. How is that selling at inflated prices? Had they just sold that as singles they'd easily make 80% more.

At a certain point it doesn't make sense to continue buying boosters chasing cards and dice. A secondary market is important to the game.

Two or three boxes is all I want, which won't get you a play set. At that point it's more economical to fill out your collection with singles.
