Squadrons and Accuracy Icons

By Archeantus7, in Star Wars: Armada Rules Questions

When I was first learning the game I watched a how-to video that said that squadrons ignored accuracy icons. Then i finally read through ALL the rules myself and I don't see any mention of that. Squadrons can spend accuracy icons to sop use of defense tokens as normal, correct?

Yep.

Both versus Squadrons and Versus Ships.

And Ships can even spend accuracy icons versus squadrons, too.

Its Critical symbols that are ignored, unless there is another rule (ie: Bomber), that says otherwise.

It was a misconception I had as well, playing the base game, with basic squadrons, = ignore accuracy results they don't do anything against squadrons. Wasn't for a good while we worked out that was due to the lack of Def tokens on squadrons, and a single dice against ships, meaning if you rolled an accuracy, it can lock a token down, but it does nothing as your single dice was an accuracy result, with no damage accompanying the accuracy.

I wouldn't be surprised if others did the same.

Yeah being able to use an accuracy can be critical against an Imperial Aces swarm with all those scatters, especially if you have Home One or H9's around.

True.

My friend keeps the feelings about scatter since then.

Whenever he see a scatter token on my fleet he concedes
