Disclaimer: I know the owners, love the product. It's not neoprene but is extremely durable (I can find a video of two guys trying to tear one to show if you want...and I can find it) and lays flat even after rolling. He's going to get a 3x6 posted at some point, but for now you can do 3x3's...

With all due respect, I like Mats by Mars designs, but they do not lay flat. I had their Guild Ball mat, it's a banner material and creases and folds reallly badly.
Counter roll it and it fixes itself. I haven't had an issue long term with mine. Should roll up, not fold up though.

Yea you should totally roll it the way that it was packaged, design side out. And you wouldn't have curling problem

I dunno. When I think solidly made banners I think of painted on canvas, but yeah I guess vinyl could be it too. I've a 9x6 sea print, I wanna say that's like a kind of canvas/muslin. It's pretty. When I get it out to use it, it typically has to be on the game table for about a day for it to 'relax' for the crinkles to come out.
