This is good news, I guess a new article will come up soon with more details on it also ![]()
Wave VI is on the boat!!
Wow...we might actually get this in Q2. What a concept!!!
Holy Crap. I checked not 20 minutes ago, and they weren't.....
... because I remarked to someone on FB that they were putting down "US RELEASE DATE" oin the "Now Shipping" Items.
Maybe a pre-release at Worlds??? If so, I am so going to pick up two of each!!!
1) Woo! Super excited! BUT...
2) As stoked as I am for Sloane, I will not be buying any of it until we get a god damned FAQ for W5. This is ridiculous.

The Earliest "General Release" one would argue would be the 25th of May. That assumes a 4 Week on the Boat Period, and then 2 Weeks to Ship out.
Remove the 2 Weeks Shipping out (sicne it arrives at FFG HQ, effectively).... And you're looking at the 11th of May... The Week after Worlds.
It would have to be a 3 Week on the Boat to get there.
Previously, I'd be with you - but I feel its unlikely *but not impossible* they would Pre-Release... because they've basically said that, after the debacle with the Pre-Release of Destiny, they weren't going to be "Special Air Shipping" things in advance anymore. (as per the Asmodee Panel at GAMA).

6 Month Anniversary for FAQ is, what, Monday?

Fair enough. In any case, I am excited! Here's to hoping that we get a preview article sometime this week. I would like the first one to be about the Imperial Light Carrier. I want to see the two other upgrade cards not present on the reveal spread!

I am almost to this point too. It is stressful to be putting fleets together for competition and not feel comfortable about whether or not my interpretations of the rules will be correct. Since the forums is a relatively small slice of the playing population it probably wouldn't have much effect, but a boycott isn't a terrible idea.
I have still not gotten any of the fighters from the last wave.
or even used the rebel ship.
If I may ask - with the exception of Worlds/National level Competition - what stops you from asking for interpretations from TOs beforehand?
(I Except Worlds/Nationals because it can be tricky to find out who that is....)
I mean, for mine, I know as the Sentry Box Armada Organiser, its part-and-parcel of my Event Outlines and Advertisements, what is being used for an FAQ, and what I've already noted - and the fact that people can just ask to get an immediate response....

Just to be clear, I'm not saying everyone ought to boycott or anything like that. I just personally won't buy more stuff until and unless they're going to support what I've already bought, no matter how much I love the game.
At this point, they may have some changes that would drastically change the game, but don't want anyone at Worlds to be boned if they were practicing with something, but a temp FAQ for Wave V would definitely be nice.
I don't disagree it would be nice. And as a TO, I'd love for them to do their job to make my job easier... ![]()
But for the player - there shouldn't be any reason why you can't ask beforehand. It makes a better tournament. Sometimes, it makes a better Judge/Marshal out of your TO, too ![]()

I agree. They definitely shouldn't be releasing sweeping fundamental changes to the game right before Worlds, but letting everybody show up with a plan to deal with team orange RLB only to find it's ruled team purple is a problem too.
They released two FAQ editions within a couple months of each other for W1. It's not like it's a lot of work to type up just the pieces that need to be answered with the game as it currently is and publish it.
1. Lets get that FAQ
2. Super stoked about Wave 6 (Sloane)

Worlds, specifically, is what concerns me, so I'm not excepting Worlds/Nationals.

Yes, I wasn't so much responding to you - because I do agree with Worlds. Worlds is the Premier Goddamn Competition, it needs to be nailed down - but rather a general response to most people who are going to regular tournaments ![]()
And I mean, its not like we havn't been asking for Worlds rulings by proxy of simply asking anyway - as as far as I am aware, Michael Gernes is the Marshal for the Competition.
So I'm with you there. Its more a response to the "going to a tournament without knowing" response that I was after - rather than saying "Spending the Money to go to WORLDS without knowing..."
More ships to throw money at, the faster we can get past wave VI, the closer we get to a MC75, AF1, Blue X-wing squad, U-wings, K-wings, SSD, Wingless Liberty MC80 and that underbite SD from the TFA movie

WHERE IS THRAWN?!
But seriously........what expansion for the Empire do you think they would include Thrawn as a commander in? In fact, what ship will the Empire get in Wave 7????? My bets are on a Venator-Class Star Destroyer or a redone Imperial-Class Star Destroyer modeled on the ISD-1 that includes Thrawn as a commander and new titles for the ISD.
It doesn't seem right to me that if the MC-75 was the main Rebel ship for Wave 7 that the Empire would get a ship class smaller than a medium ship.

What about mister "INTENSIFY FORWARD FIREPOWER" Admiral Piett? We have yet to see him in the game!

That too! That lends to the possibility of the future debut of the Executor to Armada. I would imagine his ability would center around the concentrate fire command and will somehow greatly benefit the battery armament of front hull zones.
Sorry, of cause Thrawn and Piett should also be added to my wish list, then I have an excuse to bring out my WotC Thrawn figure to stand next to my ISD flagship card ![]()
I don't see the Venator across from the MC75 in a wave. I would expect something like Rebel One and the Venator. Two TCW designs that keep getting mileage even in early years of GCW.

How about "When firing from the Front arc may after rolling dice may add one blue dice to the pool. May not shoot from the same arch again."
Would apply to both to Anti Squadron and anti ship but not work with Gunnery Teams or Advanced gunnery mission
