Rebel B-Team "The Battle for Scarif"

By Surak, in X-Wing Squad Lists

Ok so watching Rogue One this evening i thought I'd throw together a themed 100pt list to use my U-wing

Battle for Scarif (98/100)
==========================
U-wing: Heff Tobber (24 + 5)
+ Inspiring Recruit (1)
+ Pivot Wing (0)
+ Engine Upgrade (4)
X-wing: Red Squadron Pilot (23)

X-wing: Red Squadron Pilot (23)

X-wing: Red Squadron Pilot (23)

Now i know its not exactly going to be competitive, but i wasn't shooting for meta-defining with this one.

So any thoughts on my random musings? Anyone else got some fun Scarif builds?

Regards

Maybe drop a couple of the red squadrons to rookies so you can have more goodies on U wing or a named x wing pilot like General Merrick (Garvin Dreis)?

I don't see much use for Inspiring Recruit. You could trade him for Bistan.

inspiring recruit was to try and free up the x-wing dials as much as possible, Bistan could be a fun alternative.

I do like the idea of substituting named x-wing pilots in for movie characters lacking a pilot card (come-on FFG :P ), I just didn't want to give myself an excuse to take Biggs.

I might try and put a non-tlt gold squadron together for fun tomorrow

This is pretty thematic for R1:

It probably would do alright for a casual match up.

Fire Control System (2), Cassian Andor (2), Jyn Erso (2), Pivot Wing (0)

Garven Dreis (aka General Merrick) (27) - X-Wing
R2 Astromech (1), Integrated Astromech (0)

Rookie Pilot (22) - X-Wing
R2 Astromech (1), Integrated Astromech (0)

Rookie Pilot (22) - X-Wing

Scariff (100)

Cassian Andor (35) - U-Wing
Snap Shot (2), Fire Control System (2), Inspiring Recruit (1), Hera Syndulla (1), Pivot Wing (0), Anti-Pursuit Lasers (2)

Wedge Antilles (34) - X-Wing
Rage (1), R2-D2 (4), Integrated Astromech (0)

Wes Janson (31) - X-Wing
Adaptability (0), Targeting Astromech (2), Integrated Astromech (0)

My own Scarif list:

Test (100)

Gold Squadron Pilot (23) - Y-Wing
Dorsal Turret (3), R3-A2 (2), BTL-A4 Y-wing (0)

"Hobbie" Klivian (27) - X-Wing
Targeting Astromech (2), Integrated Astromech (0)

Tarn Mison (26) - X-Wing
M9-G8 (3), Integrated Astromech (0)

Blue Squadron Pathfinder (24) - U-Wing
Inspiring Recruit (1)

I've done ok with it, took it to a tournament even and never felt a match was out of my reach despite the final scores. It gives you a utility knife of tools to deal with various threats you might encounter.

Garvin is strong in a group. Passing that focus along is great.

I agree with:

Inspiring Recruit is only good if you plan on getting doubles stress a lot. (Ie: using Hera).
