New products?

By Bibbles, in Mansions of Madness

Has anyone heard any word on what is to follow. As far as I can tell everything is at a stand still. Does anyone know where any info on the future of MOM 2nd ed. might be?

There's been silence on the matter for some time. There's nothing new i know of, I check by the news and upcoming pages regularily. Only an insider would know, i suppose.

I really hope they get real news out soon for MoM 2nd ed.

They didn't say anything official at the moment, as Aelita said, but GenCon is just around the corner, so, who knows. I'd not be worried too much

FFG only announces products when they have a product ready.

It's always a bummer when you wait for news/previews for your favorite game, and you get something else. We have seen news for Runewars Miniatures, Android: Netrunner, A Game of Thrones Card Game, and quite a bunch of other games, and finally the FAQ and next preview for Imperial Assault (which I have been looking forward to).

The Wheel weaves as the wheel will.

I'm drowning in new of other games getting new updates. I was really hoping DLCs would take over and we would get one every two months or so. Ive play most scenarios 2-7 times now. Not sure any game company could keep up with my teams appetite for that game but something would be great.

I would like more dlcs (translated!) and more stories. Too few stories to play :(

I don't know if I'd consider 4 more months "right around the corner". Nothing new announced/released until August would end up being a pretty massive dry spell for a brand new FFG game (since BtT was the last thing we got back in January).

Yeah, I really think they have gone to long without DLC item. I would have imagined that DLC would have allowed them to get a scenario out once every quarter or two.

I was hoping for more support for this game. We are not that far off from the 1st edition release schedule (and ahead in the minis department), but I expect more from something that can be developed and then published electronically. I am not discounting development time, but you do save a bunch of work on the layout, art, printing, shipping aspects of the work.

MOM2 was out 8 months ago.

Looking back at first edition

3 months first pod expansion (4 months, for first dlc, so lets call that a wash)

7 months 2nd pod (we are behind here, unless you count the 2 stories from the 1st ed content as a release)

9 months 1st small box expansion (we are ahead of the curve here)

12 months 3rd pod.

Problem is that the quality of the scenarios for 1st edition was extremely poor. I'd rather wait more time but have good adventures than have a lot of adventures done in haste and sucking on countless levels

Yeah there were quite a few stinkers and way too many NOTHING cards. Im glad thats gone. It was such a haul to get out there and look through a poke only to find NOTHING.....seriously.

I think everyone has been moved to Imperial Assault :(

I would guess Runewars Miniatures, but that's soon out of the door, so it should get better.

OUT THE DOOR? Is that one capsizing already? Or do you mean being released?

The latter one... it's just been released

Getting products out of the door means they move from development to being available for purchase.

FFG pushing products to the market as opposed to the products pushing daisies...

A DLC campaign would tide us over nicely, thank you ;)
