Love this picture, Edgehawk...
OK, guys! With 20 XP to spend, Yorik put 15 of it into obtaining his 3rd Rank of Ranged (Heavy) since that's been his "Thing" since we started this campaign and he's definitely used Confidence enough to warrant the further improvement.
To reflect Sar Agorn's instruction with the Lightsaber, I also put the remaining 5 xp into the 1st rank of Melee Lightsaber before his mentor was tragically kidnapped by the Acolyte of Screaming. I thought about putting it toward Force (Sense) or more Force Sensitive Exile talents given all the mental training that Yorik had also undergone but I'll wait until after our experiences on Tython. (And having more XP to spend..)
Astrid, after leaving Flerbos are you seriously considering Entrepreneur or do you think you'll follow Griff's footsteps and go Big Game Hunter?
& now that we have a new Doc, who's also a great shot, I think between the two of us we can do some serious damage! What might your long term plans be?
Also, Shard, you talked about putting your Hard Points on something besides armor or weapons or space ships... But, why not use that death trooper armor that we just confiscated and then install the Integrated Slicer Gear into your armor so you can go hands free? Or maybe put a Hard Point on some Jump Boots and add the Repulsor Lift Technology so you can have boots like these?
Also, Congratulations again to you, Worra, for going Marshall!

Why.. Beast Rider, of course.
(no, not really)
LOL... Good point! OK, which do you intend to train and ride? The Acklay or Nix?
I'm going to have Zyi fashion a yoke, and have them both pull my war chariot, like a nightmarish living podracer!
Then, we will shall change your title to Warlady Astrid Furiosa! and that would be a terrifying sight!
So @Edgehawk , is that a custom figurine?
Nah. Jyn Erso black series from walmart.
Looks more like Astrid then jyn! Way to go! Now to find Shard as a figurine.... Haha right...

@Edgehawk ever consider skiptracer for a second spec?
I could see it. Astrid is already a bit of an investigator, bounty hunter even.
It just fits her role as the smart perceptive one of the group.
Edited by TheShardCat's out of the bag. I hope this campaign continues, for Astrid to pick up many specs, but this one's spoken for.
I agree! I'm letting the pace of the Story dictate which way Yorik develops....
I originally planned on being an intimidating bad@$$ Enforcer/ Mercenary Hired Gun. But, I feel like Yorik has been more of a nice, even charming, guy with a Big Gun to punctuate his statements...
He's been interested in the Force though and learned a great deal from Sar Agorn so we'll see what comes of Tython...
Quotetrying to decide what to spend my XP on or if I should just bank it for the next infusion. How do once per session skills work in this game?
It's Not That Bad , even though it requires 25 xp, would be a good next step for Bennar. It would not be unprecedented for April to reward an additional 5 xp at some point while the next Episode is in progress; I think there is even a mechanic for using partially-trained talents, with setbacks (discuss with April, of course). INTB would also get you into the bottom row, setting you up for Dedication , next.
I limit Astrid's once-per-session talent ( Museum Worthy ) to once-per-Episode, but part of that is just how it tends to work out (the only time she really has to devote to this particular talent, is while we're traveling, between missions).
The Bigger They Are signature ability is pretty awesome, but would require a hefty long-term xp commitment for you to achieve.
You have lots of other options, and if you see Bennar heading in a different direction, he could always pick up a second Spec... but personally, I would pick up a bottom-row talent, and Dedication , before branching out.
So I'm leaving Saturday for 2 weeks I'll be out of touch totally at least the first week.
So, I guess this is where @Shard goes back to the ship to hold down the fort! And keeps his weapons... :-) Have a fun vacation!
Well except I've been summoned...Twas my own but maybe I'll use the downtime to tinker with my gear, I've crafted stuff a bit and tinkered with everyone else's guns, but I think its time to start adding hp to things.

How do you want handle this ic?
Also how to you feel about the artisan talent which adds hard points to items? It's it only items which already have hp? Or can I add hp to most anything, as long as the subsequent attachment makes logical sense?
Like I think their is an armor attachment that adds shock, could I add that to a data pad?
Also so far I've avoided being force based, before I jump into any powers, I'd like to include in the story arc a pivotal moment where he realizes and leaves to utilizes the crystal a bit.
I'm gonna look more but I think I'm gonna go with a brain cybernetic implant.
Also I want to self limit my use of the force, as this is an artificial "cheat" usage, so I'm thinking Manipulate, maybe sense... I could have a scanner it's hooked into using the force to boost scanner. Or how about something novel like the power that negates force use...
Or would i save the xp (hasn't spent it yet) on a future spec?
Tinkering is always good...
Being on Tython would be an absolutely pivotal point in your Artisan development... All things Force based is why we're here so that would make sense... The Awakening where Shard becomes more than just the amazing Slicer/ Mechanic and evolves into something
MORE
... Manipulate definitely makes sense... which you'd feel more and more while you're on the ship. But, are you sure you're going with a Brain Cybernetic Implant?
As awesome as that would be to boost you... We just discovered the bugs from the Hutts and we may or may not be going against Mr. Z in the future (if he's actually evil Sithlord Insanire, for example) or if he just goes against our beliefs regarding Freedom again... (My hot button- Nix. Your hot button- slavery or just taking prisoners)... Either way, that could lead to Ion Grenades and weapons flying back & forth and if something hits you it literally knocks you completely out for the remainder of the combat event or situation.
Can you do something that would be more temporary that you can take on and off instead? Where it takes an action to put on or remove but if it gets hit with an ion pulse you're still able to function? Could you possibly modify an existing Cybernetic Implant or make one that does that?
Also, I'm very excited for Yorik to be here on Tython. He can learn from the Ancient One and pursue
something
Force related... and I'm definitely interested in pursuing Force stuff. Not as a Cheat code but because we're playing Star Wars!
Actually, I've been wondering if it's too late for me to change my 2ndary Specialization from Enforcer to something F&D because I haven't been playing Yorik at all like an Enforcer. Hmmm, then again maybe I have since we've been traveling around and I've been Enforcing for Mr. Z.
Guess, I'll just have to pay for a 3rd Spec and pick up something like Shi'icho Knight or Soresu Defender...
What about executioner? And I second the enforcer thing, how much xp have you put into it?
What's your presence?
I could see something off the wall like seer, or arbiter(if it makes any sense mechanically) because of the lightsaber talents but also because of aggressive negotiation talents, as you have more than once used that concept in spirit.
Edited by TheShardPresence is a 3. I bought Enforcer for 20xp and then put 15 xp into Enforcer Talents for Toughened, Intimidating, & Fearsome... & I've really only used Toughened...
I shared the link with you a long time ago but here's my Google Doc where I work out the points, ideas, etc for Yorik...
Edited by Cartergame
Totally go arbiter! You pick up both combat and some of the most fun social talents in the game and because it's negotiation rather then coercion I think it makes much more sense.
