So, with FFG hosting a panel this Friday at Star Wars Celebration, do you think they'll announce anything for X-wing?

Possibly. With some of the mistakes made in the Rogue One tie in products, I could see a "Battle of Scarif" expansion similar to the Heroes of the Resistance pack. Might get some goodies for the old T-65 that way.
A Phoenix Squadron themed pack might work out.
and finally, something totally off the wall, like a campaign.
Giving that this is Celebration, I think they will want to expand on their movie tie ins. Not everyone there is going to be a XMG player so for brand recognition sake, mentioning Scariff or something like that could do them some good.
Also, would be good for us.
They could take this opportunity to release a campaign box though which would contain enough parts for you to play out a basic campaign with the option of "expanding your experience" by buying their pre-existing products.
I'm thinking, if we get anything, it'll be an announcement of the 2nd scum Epic ship or a Rogue One tie-in. A campaign would be nice but I'm not holding my breath for that one. And, yeah, a Phoenix Squadron pack does seem likely at some point.
What I'm hoping for is a Hammerhead Corvette, a Scarif shield gate playmat and Krennic's shuttle (yeah, I like it). But, scum is due their 2nd Epic before another Rebel one.
Honestly, I wish FFG would just release that thing to cut down all the forum spam about it.

Not expecting anything great, but things I'd like to see...
Rogue One themed aces pack - Blue squad t65 and a repainted, touched up ywing. Pilots include more EPT ywing pilots and some more xwing pilots, some new ordnance, k2 crew, and maybe a t65 title for variety (not a fix per se, something that adds options instead like the tie shuttle or the two firespray titles).
Maybe some new mats. I really want something that looks cool but is less time-locked... I would just feel weird flying scum over a death star 1/2 mat or starkiller base. The bespin mat is kinda cool but I'd like to see some sort of SW locale that's more timeless and any faction could turn up at.
Now that I said that, I expect either no new announcements or a slight tease towards the Ep8 ships without letting us know much.

Dream :
Imperial Ace Box : VT-49 (we have a new pilot in armada) + phantom (why not ?), reason ? I think it's safe to said the resistance box have got success...
Rebels Ace Box : E-Wing and X-Wing. I remember a old interview for the world 2015, the devs want to see more xwing, ewing, kwing, tie bomber, tie defender, kihraxz, virago and m3a on the table.
And we have got the imperial veteran (tie defender and tie bomber), m3a (croc scum epic), of course we see miranda again and corran but we have got integrated astromech for the xwing (despite have wes and biggs). It's safe to said we will see upgrade for them.

I'm pretty pessimistic about anything truly cool coming out at Celebration. The best I'm expecting is possibly a new 40th Anniversary mat featuring Tatooine or Alderaan. I wasn't paying too close attention to the regionals, but I don't think those planets were featured, right?
My expectation is that they'll say something like "Look at what we just released for Wave X recently, and look at what's coming next with Wave XI," and possibly reveal what the upgrades and pilots are for the new wave.

Tatooine was one of the system opens I believe. Some good choices they didn't use for System Open could be Scarif, Alderaan, Bespin (not the close up of cloud city), Nal Hutta, etc.

I don't expect it to be much except patting on the back for success and some tidbits of the future.
But there is a chance of two ships for Episode 8 like A-Wings.
The best news would be a campaign box/pack.
I will be there too. I am looking to see if there is any info about the Coruscant Open. I see the date and the room of the event: but not the time, or if we can watch PHeaver do his thing.

The only future wave EU ship is the Tie Aggressor, which is clearly imperial. The last wave with EU in it was wave 8. That's two full waves with no EU ships.
