They're engaved/carved/scrimshawed by hand with a carbide tip stylus. Bone in various sizes, shapes, etc can be bought from scrimshaw suppliers online.

The Rogue Trader Marine is plastic, I know that because I have that one.

I can't remember if the Marine Captain with power fist was, got him, still sitting in the box. Wonder if the RT guy was easier to make. But like the old/new BB teams and such I think are just finecast.

The Blood Angel one was Finecast the Made to Order stuff is metal as far as I know and everything GW releases for the new BB is plastic, stuff released by FW is obviously resin.

I meant those 'buy them now' stuff they're releasing from the archives. Like right now the old dark elf team and old chaos dwarf team is up. I get which you mean now, those very LE special ones for anniversaries/events.

I know, those "buy them now" stuff is part of what GW calls "Made to Order" and they are metal, from their website:

@Tvayumat Those tokens look great! Well done. I'm wanting to make custom too, but I'm planning to try engraving them, then maybe make some molds to make with dental stone and then paint the originals

I wonder whether in future iterations you may want to consider putting the reference to the other side, like the official ones.

I'm sure that's an indication of mechanics or upgrade cards in the future that allow you to flip a rune(s)

how are pre orders going to be handled are we getting our copies on the 13th or they will ship them out on the 13th ? never pre ordered board game before that why am asking

The last time I pre-ordered something from an online retailer, they shipped it so that it arrived on the release day. I've never pre-ordered from CoolStuffInc, though.
