If you did that you'd probably want to use it on a named pilot anyway as the HWK uniques are already some of the most support oriented ships in the game.

The unique bit was to prevent the lowest generics from breaking the 12 point barrier.

In the title for the Y-wing that came with the Most wanted expansion says " You cannot attack ships outside your firing arc. After you perform a primary weapon attack, you may immediately perform an attack with a (cannon) secondary weapon." so with his pilot ability it would enable him to still attack outside his fireing arc and then after an attack be able to attack with a cannon. That is what that pilot ability was meant to be. sorry for any confusion

I disagree, I think that title makes your turret locked in the forward position. Why would anything be stated about the firing arc if that wasn't the case. I don't see any pilot skill that would change that

I guess if you wanted a cheap filler. Does anyone fly a naked generic HWK at any time now? With just a 1 die primary and a relatively poor dial I'm not sure what good one would do you even if it has 5 hp behind 2 agility. People talk about how worthless 2 die primary attacks are... the cheapest Z-95 is still a bigger offensive "threat" than the naked generic HWK is.

I do. Throw a TLT and a good squad buffing crew member on a Reb Op and you have a cheap crew carrier that can do some work with the TLT.

Edit: Sorry, not naked , but I do use the generic.

I would love to see a Hwk only mod that drops the turret slot in exchange for a big discount and maybe another crew.

Lightly Armed Transport -5 points. Hwk only. Your upgrade bar loses the (turret) and gains an additional (crew). This upgrade may only be equipped to unique pilots.

I think you missed the "NAKED" part of my statement which was in relation to the other thread I quoted here. MenaceNsobriety's suggestion would have the HWK LOSE the turret slot which means no TLT for you. Now maybe it would then have TWO crew slots to fill but filling those would bring the price back up. Maybe there are times you'd find a couple cheap crew and not want to pick up the benefits of the low cost Uniques but at what price would someone really want to fly a ship with a 1/2/4/1 stat line on a ship with a poor dial and limited action bar?

the point of the unique pilot would that it would cancel that out making it able to attack twice. The ship does not exist yet but it was an idea i came up with and that i hope that thy come out with.

I'll be honest, I would love a Scum Veterans pack with Nd'ru's Fire-Tiger paint job. That would just be the best.

As for Scum-wings, they are fine. I would like to see some more Rebel Y-wings maybe. Maybe a Battle for Yavin pack with both Rebel and Scum Y-wings could be interesting.
