The Debilitator Interdictor has arrived in the aturi cluster to bring the rebellion (and my painting sanity) to heel. She's 1 foot 9 inches from bow to stern, a foot wide from starboard to port and 3 1/2 inches tall.
Impressive, most impressive.
But its like 2 times too small ![]()
I believe he's calling it a Debilitator Class Interdictor, justifying the smaller size. Anyway, it's pretty EPIC. I've always liked Interdictors - the look and the function.
See, Star Destroyer ships are not too large for epic when they are scaled down.

Although "Destroyer" becomes a bit dubious. Maybe Star Denter?
And to the OP, you might go with Length, Beam, and Height. It'll save some typing. ![]()
In any event, nice job. I'm jealous.
Edited by Darth MeanieIt's an impressive amount of work for sure. I don't understand the point of it though, well other than, "it's there". The Raider is also an impressive ship and so under used, why not make more use of that?
Either way, that ship is begging to be painted so it can look awesome.
Cool models man!
It looks really good next to the Raider! Paint it up and post more pics!

Then you are missing the point. "It's there" is awesome!!
Besides, for the most part, the destroyers and such don't move that much relative to the starfighters buzzing around them. It probably shouldn't move that much in a game of XWM.

But how else are you supposed to punish admiral konstantine for being out of position? ![]()
Debilitator-class Interdictor Frigate, perhaps?

I fielded the ship in our last mission as a static object that just spawned delta shuttles indicating that the ship was on a disarmed shakedown cruise.
Irregular squadron is appropriately terrified and has taken to calling her the Omen.
That looks fantastic!
Good job!
Hawt.

Nice! I love the model! I love the dark grey paint job. It looks really good. I also love the Delta shuttles. I have one and I use it on a small base too. I give it the slam action since it seemed so fast in RO. I give it a stat line of attack 2, defense 2, hull 4, and shields 4. It has the focus, target lock, and slam actions. It has a crew, cannon, and a system slot. It's dial is ok, and has a 5 kturn. I can't wait for the official model.

Mine are quite different!

It is a bit different. You gave it cloak instead of slam, but your stat line is almost the same, just one less evade. Reading your Silent Running card, I'm slightly confused. Do you use a large base or small base? Or both and change back and forth? Also why would you do that? I know the ship was "stealth" but I don't think it is ever stated to have a cloaking device. I gave it the Slam action to represent the speed it shows in the movie and to represent it's (most likely) ability to "get out of here" when things get rough. I almost gave it a tech slot as well, since it's an Imperial Intelligence ship, but then decided against it because in my mind, tech is only for TFA era ships and this is way to old. I did gave it a system slot as well. Your dial is much different than mine. I made my dial kind of zippy(like it is in the movie) to make it different from other Imperial shuttles. I'm not on my computer now so I can't get a copy of my dial, but it is mostly fast with several greens and no stop. I'm trying to work on a system slot upgrade that allows more maneuverability that would make sense and help other ships too. We'll see how that comes out.
The silent running dual card is supposed to indicate the ships ability to narrow its profile significantly with the wings closed which is how I envisioned it engaging cloak, going from a large base when decloaked to a small base when cloaked also means that you avoid the decloaking issues with large base ships while also making the ship a tremendously unpredictable blocker given the fact that you put the template anywhere against the bases when you cloak or decloak. Seems odd in theory but in practice it's an absolute nightmare to face for my squadron when there's a bunch of them as elites.

Super cool and unique mechanic. Maybe you can use a different term than "cloaked". The stealth bomber uses terms such as "Low Observable" and "Reduced Signature". Maybe Silent Running could be Reduced Signature mode and the flip side could be Standard Flight Profile/mode. Just thinking out loud.

The reason I went with the cloak in this particular instance is because the wings on the Delta are basically giant radiator panels that also house all sorts of other equipment. Keeping them closer together while the ship is engaging its cloaking device would mean that the heat signature would be smaller along with the total area the stealth field would need to cover. Did your idea though!

Star Destroyers _can_ be made small enough to fit on the X-Wing battlefield. I mean, heck! They can be made to be smaller than an X-Wing if you really wanted to.
The problem with bringing a Star Destroyer into X-Wing- even in Epic is that mechanically it doesn't really match the scale of the battle. A Victory Class Star Destroyer has, what? 2 Squadrons of Fighters? That's 288 points of Tie Fighters alone. I suppose we could scale that back, and scale back the guns on the ship. And scale back... everything on the ship. And then you're left with a Star Destroyer that basically resembles a Raider. And it just _feels_ wrong for a Destroyer to be afraid of 300 points of Rebel ships.
An Interdictor, however, doesn't have weapons systems that would so badly overshadow anything that opponents can do. It's a fleet support ship, and that means that it's weapons and other systems should be scary to 300 points of fighters and small capital ships- if not necessarily to something like Home One.

I'm personally ok with a bit of handwavium. A ship like this is large enough to clearly dominate the table without being too big to move at least some through the game. I'd be ok calling something like this an Imperial Star Destroyer - not an Imperial-class or Victory-class Star Destroyer but The Imperial Star Destroyer. I would also want it to be the only ship this size with no other ship larger than existing Huge/Epic ships.
But I'm torn 'cause I could then start thinking that one possible exception might be a Nebulon-B but it would have to be carefully sized to be larger than the CR90 but still "dwarfed" by the Star Destroyer. But then this could steam-roll into other giant ships and so on ... Gaaahhh!

My Nebulon-A Battle Frigate is quite a bit smaller than the Omen and has significantly less mass, but is larger than a raider or a cr-90.
