Wookie Arbornaut character concept, Wroshyr seeds

By Edgehawk, in Star Wars: Edge of the Empire RPG

In anticipation of eventually joining a pbp, I have begun creating a few characters on oggdude's. One concept I have is for a Wookie scientist (I might actually spec him as an archaeologist), who as a "Tree-Keeper" was coerced into working with Imperial resource management officials on Kashyyyk. When it became obvious that his urging sustainable forestry was falling upon deaf ears, he managed an escape to the outer rim.

I don't intend for this wook to become a "Johnny Appleseed for the Stars," but I thought he might have some wroshyr seeds with him, guarding against future extinction. I could only find "fanon" info, though, describing them as conical, and over a meter in length! The mighty redwood's seed is only about the size of a single die, so it didn't occur to me that it would be so absurdly cumbersome.

It's probably a long shot, but I would be grateful for any canon reference that I may be missing?

Regarding inter-species communication in general, the core book flat-out states to just hand-wave it and assume that the PC's can understand each other (this is why there are no language skills).

As to the canonical size of wroshyr seeds, just run the concept by your GM. Tell them your concept first ; then ask if the seeds could be small enough to do this. If you start by asking them about seed size without telling them why you want to know, they might make a snap decision that they're really big.

I'm first up on the waitlist, if your Dusty Nomad campaign expands; this wookie is one of several characters I'm creating (for that game, or another, at some later point). Don't worry- he wouldn't out-brawn your lil wook, unless enraged.

No I'm just thinking another character would be a good buddy ro your wook...

I'd like to do a wilderness campaign, I got a noghri ex-assassin turned peacenik I wanna give a home for. I could see a wookie, even a "johnny space appleseed" on an expedition who finds him..

Actually that sounds like a cool premise.
