Kihraxz definitely needs a title that speaks to its modular design, perhaps allowing a second modification slot. Maybe limit it to mods of 2 pts or less, I dunno.
Things that we could hope in Scum Aces/Ways of improving the Khiraxz and Star Viper

I was referring to the Gonkabilty of the Scurrg.

I wonder how well a 33 point PS 9 Fen Rau would do in a StarViper? Still overcosted or nah? I have a suspicion that you _still_ couldn't get full value out of that hull. Which is kind of silly...
I tend to like fixes and upgrades that add some new role to a ship instead of just granting it an extra free action or slot.
The Kihraxz is already getting a soft bump with the pulsed ray shield upgrade. Out of all of the 1 shield rebel or scum ships it benefits the most. Its dial was lacking a 1 straight which it basically gains with the ion token cost of PRS. It also has the illicit slot and a decent amount of health. You can throw Pulsed Ray Shield on them and Feeback Array. if you use both in the same turn you effectively don't take damage from Feedback Array and the extra ion token doesn't have any adverse effects on you since it is a small base.
This combo suddenly makes it an ideal carrier for Feedback Array.
What new thing can we have this ship do? Here's my proposal:

With a little considering, I'd say still overcosted. The Viper and the Fang have the same base slots and actions, so not added value there. The Virago title adds a Systems and illicit, which could add some good value for Fenn, but at the cost of the Concord Dawn title. Less greens and turn arounds for The Viper, but more one speed maneuvers. A point in The Viper's favor is it is tougher.
What would everyone think about saving the Starviper for the 2nd Epic ship with a possible Black Sun huge ship, and releasing Scum Aces with 2 Kihraxz fighters. Each with not only a new paint scheme, but also new model changes representing the Kihraxz variants. The changes are minor and could easily be added. This kind of change has already occured with the Millennium Falcon.

Combined with Pulsed Ray Shield, this is way too much. Perma regen and mini-decloak agility.

The perma-regen is only for one shield ever (unlike R2-D2 or Miranda which are limitless) and the barrel roll or boost would occur during the end phase (when the token is assigned) which is the least helpful place for repositioning (since your opponent can plan for it).
An easy way to tone it down would be to limit it to once per turn.

There's a reason I compared it to Decloak. being able to bank boost makes it even better.
And I'm not even sure what you mean by "one shield ever"

Also, feedback array would let you boost or br in the combat phase. And since it's not limited, you can feedback someone, usE this to boost or br, then use shield in the end phase to regen back and do the other action.
And i I disagree that the prs giving the ability to do a 1s on the kihraxz is a benefit. All you're doing is telegraphing exactly where you're gonna be

Yep...if Pulse Ray was on the beginning of the activation phase...

Sorry, I wasn't very clear there. I meant that PRS can only ever bring your shields back up to a value of '1' since it can only be equipped to a ship with one shield. As opposed to other regen abilities (like Miranda or Corran with R2-D2) where you can run away and get half of your total health back after a few turns.

Jump on vassal, I'll show you what 3 PS1 starvipers and Sunny Bounder can do with PRS as is. You're looking at taking away what little drawback the card has, and giving bonuses instead.

How do you like it on StarVipers vs. Autothrusters?
4 minutes ago, KommanderKeldoth said:How do you like it on StarVipers vs. Autothrusters?
High PS has the range control to pull off autothrusters, but low PS get better milage out of being bait for a round. If you've got a focus token, you can stand off a single mangler cannon indefinately, even if it's Dash.
I'd say giving Starvipers Tech/Systems would be a good idea but they also could use more green on their dial and they should probably come with illicits base, then paying for Virago isn't as bad with the "tax" since it opens up a double system and double illicit or double illicit and system+tech combo and at that point with all of those slots it starts to get expensive fast so it shouldn't get horribly broken
I am a bit worried about combining tech and mindlink though (Albeit that could make for some fun lists)
The Starviper's a good ship, but it's the low PS that hurts the most. It's an advanced ship, so how about some experimental tech (test it on the generics first)
Prototype Integration - Starviper only, Non-unique only, Title. Increase your PS by 5. 0pts
Like to see a Most Wanted 2 (More Wanted), 2 BS Kihraxz, Red etched Starviper. And some YT pilots!
