Replacement or New Death Star Dial

By ScruffyJedi, in Star Wars: The Card Game

Hello everyone , I purchased the Star Wars LCG card game a long time ago to play with the kids, but they had a hard time getting into it. with no one to play the game kinda got shelved.

The boys want to give it a try again and so do I but we realize we are missing the death star dial. is there one we can buy from Fantasy Flight ? I looked all over the internet and couldn't find anything and can't buy one off of ebay , or Amazon, so I'm kind of at a loss. I kind of want to hold off buying a deluxe expansion until we find out if we will be playing more or not , any advice would be helpful.

thank you.

Easiest replacement is to just use any other method of counting (a 12 or 20-sided die, for instance). Other than that, you can try to find one of the acrylic ones from a tournament kit on ebay or look for one of the custom options out there (several of the community members are much more crafty than I am and have made their own versions). If you decided to do that, I'd recommend posting that you're looking for one over at cardgamedb.com as most of the SWLCG community uses that website over this one.

Good luck!

thank you for the reply , never thought of a d12 , and I have plenty of them :)

should be up and ready to play with boys by next weekend !

Even better than a standard d12 would be one of the M:tG 20-sided spin-down counters since it has the numbers in order.

yes, yes it does and i have one of those too ! thank you , you really have been a huge help.

Always happy to help! Enjoy the game, and perhaps I'll see you at a tournament sometime (if you randomly happen to be near Toledo, we have a tournament coming up at the end of the month, more info here ).

Thanks !! If I ever find myself out that way I will be sure to check it out. I'm going to have to start sniffing around and see what communities they have out my way (Georgia) and attend a few.

actually got a game in this weekend and at first it was a lot of double checking the rules but once it got in the swing of things we were really enjoying the game. in fact we are planning another game this upcoming weekend. :)
