Wanted to bring this up to the front page!

Here, I'll share mine (Painted this guy about a year or two ago). I definitely missed a spot or two here and there, and it was back when I was using some truly disgusting (and foul-smelling) enamel paints. But I really liked how that rust-colored paint looked!

If you like it, it's perfect!

Tried my hand at painting up a Scum (pirate) Firespray. I'm new to miniatures painting, so it's hardly the best, but I like the results.

Looks great! Have you tried doing washes before? I think that would really make take it up a notch.

I have not. I'm almost brand new to painting miniatures, with my only experience being adding Republic markings to Armada's Victory-Class SDs.

Instead of buying washes, use this . The first one (the Darklining Wash) is the one that I use most often. It works well and is pretty cheap. (Cheaper than Nuln Oil at least!)

I left it the same since I didn't want to repaint the details but I did paint the rim that same orange.

I'll throw mine in here as well. It's done except needing to go over the cockpit in black again to clean it up a bit.

So its confirmed that the colors are red and silver, not red and white/grey? I could not figure that out and it killed me for a while. I went with Celestra Grey to try to be 'in-between'

Here's my obligatory Kath Scarlet "Marauder" paint job. Such a fun model, and such a fun color scheme to paint.

I learned a lot about doing a proper glossy finish on canopies doing this model -- it took three failures (sanding down and retrying) before I finally got a decent finish.

I broke the two little tail guns due to roughly handling this model with my kiddos, so I replaced the broken guns with belly turrets from a couple of YT-1300s. I like this fix; there's a bit more dakka on this ship now!

One of the children wanted to have a ghost themed Firespray for the "skull squadron" the child is flying.

I would have weathered it quite a bit, but child wanted to have the whitish clean appearance.
