I'm working on a homebrewed Hoth mission. I haven't worked out all the details but the idea is that Deathtrain managed to slip a Punisher through Echo Base's shield during one of the brief moments they took it down to provide ion cover fire for their transports.
In this mission, the Imperial player must use the Punisher's bombs to take out the shield generator before the Gozanti can enter the atmosphere with its four loaded TIE fighters. Meanwhile, the ion cannon is firing on the Gozanti. Time is of the essence! When the shield is down, the Gozanti can enter the fray and unload its TIEs to take out the transport, which will be the Imperial objective. It's up to the Imperial player to take out the ion cannon or let it continue to rain shots on their attacking force as they focus on the transport.
The Rebel objective, of course, is to escape off the edge with the transport. This will be much easier if they can take out the Punisher before he can bomb the shield generator. Then, the Gozanti must remain in orbit.
I'm going to play test this one day with the transport having the free combat retrofit like in Mission H1: Evacuation and the Gozanti having a free turret upgrade. I'll have to find the sweet spot on squad points too.
