Love the Model, But is the GR-75 useful?

I never played but I hate that ship. It's so good. Good platform for Toryn Farr (my Epic nemesis). Also the Jam action with Frequency Jammer and Dutyfree. And of course ramming or the threat of ramming is very useful. Wow even thinking about it makes me hate it even more!

However we tend agree before hand that we'll take Epic ships as this helps balance things a little. If fighting against a pure fighter force any Epic ship will struggle.

Toryn is amazing in both X-Wing and Armada. She's a pretty regular crew somewhere in my Alliance Epic lists, and on all of my Armada Alliance lists.

Ditto. Just to everything said so far. The very threat of it being a battering ram causes your opponent to fly differently!

I just had an epic match; my CR75 was down to 1 hull and the crit causing damage on turns. So all I did was recover and keep going 1 straight. My opponent was trying to set up strafing runs, yet not get run-over. It caused him to fly poorly and having bad arcs. My support ships left (3 x-wings and 1 Badly damaged B-wing) took his ships off the board

Awesome sauce.

I am thinking of adding a rule to our next epic league to allow a GR-75 with combat retrofit to take the Gozanti-only turret (because it works with the lack of printed arcs best). Just to add an extra layer of depth to the ship and a different way to play it. It is a shame that C-ROC turret also cost 5 points, because making both available as options would have be interesting (maybe for the Gozanti as well).

I guess the reason why is that the GR-75 doesn't really inspire me much.
