Belated Start to preceedings. (Sorry, just got home from work).

Tokra is first player and has chosen to play Solar Corona against Dorrins Rebels. As you can see in CNinj's screenshot above, Dorrin has moved slowly forward from the corner, taunting Tokra with his fortress of flotillas and squadrons. I am getting flashbacks here but that is another story.

Few pointers of note, the old FAQ is still in use for this tournament, so flotilla lifeboats on both sides. And most importantly, Rhymer allows Tokra to Sloane from medium range. This is exactly what he is doing after Dorrins 4th activation of the round forcing a spend of a scatter token.

Dorrin has very wisely left his Pelta till last with Adar aboard.

Shara activates and scores 1 hit against a tie fighter.

And then... no thats it. Adar untapped and Pelta moved. Dorrin clearly not ready to spread out his forces yet. Just Shara to block any more runs on his flotilla with Demo also looking to round on the flotilla this turn. If the flotilla survives till the end Rieekan will keep it alive....

Tokra names his flotillas #1, #2, #3 etc.

Anyone else think this shows a distinct lack of empathy for his crews he mercillously sends to die?

I've already seen at least 3 things (other than the actual lists) that would've been affected.

And on queue, here comes a Demo after ET shot

From a flotilla Maarek, Valen and Jendon combine to deal 2 dmg to Shara and remove her scatter. She hits Maarek for a braced 3 counter.

Demo then reveals a squadron dial, to send another tie fighter to seal the deal. Shara down and zombified!

Its an odd trade, but the 17pt Shara keeps the 32pt flotilla alive. Solar Corona removes the red accuracy that Demo did roll. Scatter gone, ship still standing.

Shara kills a Tie Fighter on her way down. So the count is:

Two Tie Fighters dead vs Shara Bey.

Thats it for turn 3 beyond squadron reshuffling. Will we get to see the Ten Numb triple next turn?

Beginning of turn 4...Things are finally happening...

Demo activates first, pops the flotilla and then drops nicely onto Yavaris to do 5 damage + APT, knocking it down to 2 hull. Then making its escape with engine techs.

Is it out of range of thsoe Bwings? Will Dorrin choose to decimate the tie fighters with Ten or go after Demo? Can RHymer finish off Yavaris, or indeed will he get a chance?

Dorrin has been distracted by Demo, unleased Norra and Gold on Demo with his Pelta, though he did at least have the sense to send Wedge in on Maarek, Valen and Rhymer. Dagger drops a Tie FIghter.

No TEN NUMB!

Demo goes down to Gold Squadron.

Tokra sends in some tie fighers. Nothing much, a single flotilla activation is rarely exciting.

Yavaris pops off. Clears out Demo's shields with its guns, moves, then activates gold twice killing Demo thx to a structural damage and lovely rolling. Ten Numb fails to roll a crit on two Farr boosted shots. Maybe next turn, but there are two more tie fighters to jump in, plus Maarek has grit.... Numb on 2 Hull currently.

Maarek Steele drops Ten Numb and sits within range of 2 Hull Jan Orrs with Jendon still to move.

How valuable is Grit? Especially when your opponent forgets about it. Wedge is not enough, I really think it should have been Wedge AND TEN on the front foot up in Maarek, Valen and Rhymers faces.

Dorrin goes after Maarek, but he only has one Bwing left. Empty activations only left for him now.

Rhymer and Valen get to work on Wedge, its going to be a while, looks like a stalement amongst those three. Tokra will win that mini battle, but not anytime soon.

I shouldnt call Dorrins activations empty, his flagship just passed Yavaris a squad token! Thats not an empty activation right? 50 odd points for that! Money well spent! I get it you arent buying this. At least I tried.

Jendon moves in, and Maarek shoots a Ja... BWing.... I dont get it. Rolls 4 dmg. Oh it seems Jan has 4 health, sorry for misleading you guys there. No idea how I did that.

Demo is dead along with 5 tie fighters. Shara, Ten and a Flotilla dead for Dorrin.

Tokra uses Jendon, Tie Fighter and Maarek to take out a Bwing.

Squadron force on force, not going for space superiority was a mistake for Dorin, from what I can tell. Hard to tell what squadron is where from the images though. A Demo riding Yavaris' backside will scare any Rebel.
