Ok so one of you is wrong. I built my list under the impression that my opponent cannot spend a token after I use Sloane and now the FAQ is saying the opposite.

Straight up, because he is the Marshal, GK is Right.

I personally flipped on Sloane, but GK is the Emperor to my Vader... And my Luke's only 3, so there's no challenge there yet...

So The Vassal Tournament Doc is updated again... And will only get clarifications from this point forward, because I'm really struggling these last few days.

"Screwed" is not a defined term in the RRG and thus does not change anything

Sorry for any confusion.

My initial reaction to Sloane was that yes, it's a spend, but it doesn't affect the defender's ability to spend.

I felt that the entire section about defense tokens had to be read as one, meaning it applied only to the 'default' use of the token.

However, RAW does not necessarily support this. Assuming FFG knows what they are doing it specifically states a token can only be spent once. Period.

I was sure that's what was in the tourney FAQ as well. If it wasn't, then it's entirely my own fault for not reading it closely enough.

Despite my Marshal status I'm going with whatever @Drasnighta already put into the FAQ!

So if I just said the opposite - I recant and seek absolution for my sins.

TL;DR

Don't mind me. Mind the FAQ, as it was when submitting fleets.
