Melonie opens her mouth to remind him that she'd managed to distract Big Vic just fine, thank you very much, but decides to just smile, "Thanks Vic, you're sweet. And you know what? I could go for some new earrings. Now where is that top-knotted, cheapskate?"
The Dusty Nomads IC
Kara scans the crowd for Big Vic, she spots him about two blocks away. "There he is" she gestured towards him. "Let's see where he's going, he might lead us to something useful, or at least an area quieter than this."
Edited by Imperial StormtrooperMelonie peeks in his direction for a second, "Maybe we should split up, or tag team tailing him. That way, if he spots one of us, he might not spot all of us."
"Yea! Listen to Melonie folks."
He licks his lips and cracks his knuckles in anticipation for some f un.
"Stay back a few paces from me hun, but don't loose me"
The little guy weaves between the sea of strange legs and torsos moving closer and closer to the two imposters.
"Yo... Your gonna have to be my eyes... It's a little crowded down here" He says sandwiched between a Gran buttox and a slightly wet, and more than slightly odiferous light grey gorgoran's thigh.
He wiggles free, and slips between his legs, going under rather than around.
He looks up from time to time to make sure Mel still has them in her vision.
Finally he catches sight of them when a family of bulbous Ortoolians moves and ceases blocking his line of sight.

"Right, stay back a few paces," Melonie takes the advice to heart and the slips through the crowd after the gang, more used to drawing eyes than avoiding them.
"I'll keep you guys updated so you can follow further back," she comms the others.
Ok do they know where after them yet... No, they are experienced, confident but still amateurs..
He whispers to Melonie, "Hold up..."
He puts furry finger to his mouth, "...shhh"
He stops, pauses then motions for them to circle around the crowd to flank them.
Edited by TheShardMelonie deftly works her way through the crowd, her friends following a few steps behind her. She nearly loses him once or twice, but relocates him just in time to see him duck into a local bar: Maddie's Mudhouse.
Apparently, Big Vic had lied: he WAS thirsty.
Edited by Benjan MerunaMelonie frowns, straightening from her stealthy position. "That lying jerk ," she complains to Vic.
Kara moves through the crowd, bumbling into multiple persons since she is unused to navigating the busy streets of a massive city. As she caught up to Melonie she heard her talk to Vic. "Just think of the expression on his face when we bring him in front Gruggan." Kara tells her
"'Eee'z gunna be a laying jerk too!"
He says all snarky knowing it was a bad pun, slamming one fist into the palm of his other hand. He gestures as if he was knocked out and about to fall over.
"Now since I fragged the last one up, howz you be tha one to take the lead... Howz ya think you wanna handle dis punk?"
He looks over as Kara approaches.
Edited by TheShardMelonie nods at the approaching others. "Well... we could try and take advantage of it and try to appeal to pride again? Maybe one of us could tell them that they want to ditch the rest of us? Vic, you could tell them that you're sick of trying that scam, or Kara... you could tell them you're tired of us losing money? Or I could try and appeal to their pride and tell them I want him to teach me the 'ropes'. Guys usually like to teach me things. Or I could try to just make a scene and get them to sneak out the back, where you guys can be waiting."
Keeping up with the others had been challenging, Shishi's short stature limited how far he could see significantly in this crowd. Add to that his concerns of loosing a Droid and it's no surprise he walked straight into Kara when everyone stopped " aaa, sorry Kara."
"Chasing them out the back sounds like a good idea, cornering them then shooting them to bits in a quiet alley " The grin across the little Gossam's face is a little disturbing.
Edited by Richardbuxton"...And that's why we're friends."
He flashed a wide smile in return.
"Whatever yall choose, let em sink a few before you engage em. Makes it easier if yer the sharp one in the situation."
Melonie nods, "Good plan." She glances at the entrance to the Mudhouse, "See any bouncers, or is it not that kind of bar?"
Kara scowls for half a second before Shishi apologizes, she was tired of this overcrowded street. "Not a problem." she replies to his apology.
"Let's see what it looks like on the inside before finalizing our plans" Kara said in response to the various plans being formed. "Depending on the layout one plan might work better than the other."
"Droids tend to be unwelcome in establishments such as this, we will hang outside to keep an eye out for any other possible problems... if that's ok"
From what you can see from the outside, there is a muscular-looking Gran keeping a careful tab on the patrons. Which is understandable, the bar looks like the kind of place that can get a little rough, from time to time.
(Do they have weapon scanners or appear to be checking customers, patdowns etc. ?)
Melonie nods at Shishi, "Sounds good. I'll go check it out, see if it looks like they've got lots of friends in there. Vic, Kara? Are you coming, or staying with Shishi?"
"I'll be anywhere that ends up with my fist in that fragger's jaw, your lead Melonie"
Kara looks from the Gran, to the crowded street, to the others, then back towards the bar, not immediately sure what the best course of action is. After a short interval she decides "I think you and Vic can handle them in there." she tells Melonie "I'll stay out here with Shishi, and try to stop him if he tries to come out this way."
After responding Kara tries to get out of the flow of beings in the street and get up closer to the wall of the bar, while not getting so close to the door that she could be seen from inside. This would work better she thought to herself, scanning the crowd, she was certain that Mel and Vic could handle it, and her and Shishi could try and stop them if they tried to escape through the main entrance. There was also that one small part of Kara that was there whenever she started working with new groups, she would help them towards their goals, but she also avoided getting into too much trouble with the group until they had either set out towards their destination, or she had gotten to know them better. She was getting to know this group better but not enough to risk getting into a bar fight.
"Alright, let's see what we find then," Melonie says, straightening up and hoping the answer isn't 'the rest of Vic's gang'. She heads up to the bar with Vic, smiling as prettily as she can at the gran, thinking there's no harm in being polite to the person who may end up tossing them out. Once inside the Mudhouse, she pauses to let her eyes adjust, to get a look at the place, and to see if she can spot Big Vic anywhere.
"I'm gonna be right behind ya... However I'm gonna make myself scarce when you approach, but I'll be close, I'll be waitin... He makes a move and I'll have something stuck in his back"
