Which Version of a Ship to you tend to fly and why?

A real shrimp driver would've forced me into close. ;)

And taken a front arc in the process. :) Why bother?

Gladiator I because I don't even want the red die in my side armament. I might go for it if it was a blue, for Accuracy, but as it is I'd rather have quadruple black. I also don't really care about the anti-squadron die that you get for using the Gladiator II. If I have a title, it's Demolisher. I think it's safe to say it's the best title in the game.

I use the Victory I a lot more than the Victory II. It's fairly common to go from long range right into close after everyone's activated, and triple black is pretty scary. And it lets me equip ACM or APT and ruin someone's entire day.

The ISD is maybe the only Imperial ship that I consistently use the more expensive option. People make a lot of effort to avoid getting into close range of the ISD I, but it's near impossible to stay out of medium. Having a defensive retrofit is also great, frees up my crew slot so I don't have to use Tua. I mostly use the ISD I as a combat carrier, because it can use EHB and another upgrade while still hitting like...well, like a Star Destroyer. I like the Avenger title, but unless I have tricks to exhaust tokens I almost always use Relentless. Great value for only three points, it almost feels mandatory. If Demolisher ever gets nerfed I might consider this the new best title just because it's so cheap for what it does.

For both MC80 models, I usually take the expensive one. I either want that 4 Squadron or I want the better long range attacks out of my Liberty. I'm noticing a shift towards closer range fighting in my games so I may start using the cheaper Liberty. If I'm going to be at medium range I may as well throw blue instead of red whenever possible. If I'm using a title for these things it's Mon Karren. The other two seem decent for their costs, but Mon Karren ends lives. I might start using Home One if I start using the pickle for things other than squadron support. Honestly, all of those titles seem solid but they never mesh with what I'm planning to do.

The most agressive one, always. The most black dies the better

Hm.

ISD: both versions. Just Avenger. Working on making Devastator work

Intereictor: Both. Use title

VSD: Both. No titles save goof matches.

GSD: Neither. I find the ship to be a boring crutch (personally).

Arq: Only cheaper so far. Have not tried titles

Raider: Just the cheaper. No titles

Goz: Just cheaper. Both titles

MC80: Both. I use Home One and Defiance. Independence replaced by FCT

MC80: Both. Mostly Mon Karren, going to try others more soon

AFmk2: only cheaper. Just Gallant Haven

MC30: just cheaper. Both titles

pelta: both. Have no actually used title

Neb: both. Salvation and Yavaris

Transport: just cheaper. Both titles

i play a lot of weird stuff for variety.

MC30 Torps fully loaded with Mothma - ideally either title, H9s, APTs, OE, RBDs and Walex Blissex/ Derlin depending on what day it is.

Libs - love 'em. Battle Cruiser for preference, spinal and H9 or XI7, LDs, GTs, Walex Blissex and ETs to hoon it at effective speed four.

GR75 Transport - naked, with my admiral, fleeing at speed three across the back line :D (sorry, couldn't resist)

Fully loaded Ackbar assault pickle.

Generally any ship that has defences to mitigate my impulsive recklessness...

Glad II

With the easy-ass access to ACC these days (Jonus), I find that 3 Black and Acc is far superior to Four Black... I mean, its roughly comparable (within a point of damage) if the enemy has ECM, but if the enemy doesn't, smacking that Brace out of the picture doubles the Damage. Straight up. Plus, unlike Sensor Teams, doesn't cost a Die or disallow the use of Ordnance Experts.

Let me tell you about the time when I was able to afford 4 MC30s because I didn't overspend on unnecessary red dice.

:)

I did that with 4 Scouts and loved having the red dice. Did you not see the video ^_~

Edit: ignore me. The game is 400 points right? If so it was a 5 Scout list I played.

As for me being back it is on and off. I have not played in months again. Still feel like it is me.

It's about versatility and while blue dice are consistent, TRC's just make the dang thing so GREAT!

I'll be trying my MC30 scouts with Enhanced armament soon. Arquittens at long range, VSD-1s at close range.

ISD - Although I really like the ISD-II I find myself playing the ISD-I a lot more and it seems like I'm in the minority group who prefers the cheaper brawler. I find that it fits better in most of my 4-ship Imperial lists. I like running it as a close range brawler with OE/XI7 or as a heavy carrier with FC/EH. I rarely have issues closing in with the ISD-I and the dmg output of those black dice are just delicious. In past waves the lack of defensive retrofit is a liability but with the advent of Tua and RBD, I can now have 14 hull tank(17 w/Motti) that will survive a beating and still dish it out.

VSD - In the storage. I've not used them in a very long time, probably never will. I love ISDs too much:)

GSD - Almost exclusively the GSD-I and almost exclusively Devastator. Again because of my love of the ISD-I I seldom run a GSD in the same list so I don't play it as much.

Arquittens - Haven't played it much yet but I tend towards the cheaper Light Cruiser. Hmm, I'm seeing a pattern here.....

Raider - The Raider-I is a great AA platform. Raider-I w/OE + FT + Impetuos + Kallus is hard to beat. I like that it can also be tooled to be a cheap APT delivery platform. Have not played the Raider-II at all.

Gozanti - Always the cheaper Gozanti. Don't think I've ever come across a situation where I'd need the Assault Carrier version.

Exception being the Gozanti, I usually always take the more long ranged version, including going from Glad 1s to 2s. I want more time on target and larger threat bubbles. Its rare, but Ill take a vic or ISD1 as a carrier.

Why not TRC instead?

I am on a new kind of GSD-I with RR... how great 6 black dice could be after moving? 7.5 av.dam.

BOOOOOOM!!!

It makes interesting to take AG going first with my DeMSU.:D

DCOs are not being seen a lot here but I like to be prepared.

Mmmm TRC30's so wonderful.

I will fly the ISD as it is the biggest baddest ship out there and just looks cool on the table.

On the rebels I like the mc30. fast and deadly.
