fit well in 3?

By murray3, in Chaos in the Old World

Hi mates!

the games is neat and tough, "whatta you wanna be when you are older Murray" "A CHAOS GOOOOODS!"

Awesome... but it really work well in just 3?... you know like "nurgle is not feeling well, HE pass the night in the bathroom, probably something HE eats..."

In 4 is quite astonishing... but 3 players? is still fun? is still balanced and focused and AWESOME?

Let me know your experience and ideas and stuffs.

Keep flying

Murray

It works better with four, that's for sure.

Three player is OK, but you need to be careful with which God is left out. I think Khorne is good candidate because he finds it harder to fulfil his dial advancement condition with people being spread out.

The main problem is that I think four player is very balanced, so when one God is left out certain checks on strategies disappear

We played with every combination of the 3 gods and it was and it worked every time. Sometimes it can be more difficult to counter one god than an other, but the balance still works. If anything it is more tactically challenging to play with 3 rather than 4 gods.

2 things-

First, the game is fine with 3, but the 2 "opposing" gods need to be mindful to counter the "unopposed" god.

Second- Nurgle is the god of Pestilence, filth and rot. There is nothing he could eat that would have him on the bathroom floor. Say instead he missed the night because he found a tooth in his evening meal and waited up to eat the Tooth Fairy gran_risa.gif .

Very good game with 3, will all combos of gods. Epic with 4, very good with 3. Personally, if Nurgle isn't playing, Khorne seems to have a rough go, although I have won via VP's in this setup.
