Question about crisis cards involving "Cylon Attack!"

By murray3, in Battlestar Galactica

'Morning mates.

I loved the show and i love the game too, BUT there's a thing that simply doesn't suited me:

1. begining of the game (yay!) tha galactica is overwhelmed by cylon ships and ryders and stuffs...

2. in the crisis phase i pick a crisis card and is a "Cylon Attack Card": the new "texture" of the attacking ship around galactica is going to replace the starting one? And then, later, if i pick another Attacking Cylon Card, the last one replace always the old one?

If it's so i wonder about the rules of the activating ships... someone can elucidates me? please.

Thanks a lot mate.

If you draw a Cylon Attack card and there are already Cylon ships around the Galactica, the new ships are placed in addition to the existing ships (rulebook page 22, cylon attack cards). If there are not enough plastic ships and basestars, the current player decides which ones of the new ones are placed and which ones aren't (rulebook page 28, component limitations). The new crisis does not replace the old crisis, but makes matters worse by adding more ships.

I'm not sure what you're uncertain about when it comes to activating ships, can you elaborate please? Whenever cylon ships are activated, all those of the corresponding type are. So if a card tells you to activate Raiders, all the Raiders (whichever crisis card or other source they came from and however long they were on the board) are activated.

Thanks mate!

You are right. And i'm a fool.

Now is all lock and load.

Thanks again. Keep flying.
