Somebody inked the cat with that depiction. Hopefully he was pushed out of an airlock for his, hmm, transgressions.

Unfortunately, the artwork will probably out live us all.

I've just noticed, the (distant) ship depicted in the top right corner also has asymmetrical length engines.

As an artist, this has always bothered me. Especially since it's probably THE most used of the pilot cards.

Maybe the artist was just ahead of his time and depicted the first Z-Wing?

Actually I have a warped Y-wing model that does fit that a little too well.
