Most fun lists you've run?

What's the funnest list you've put on the table?

Mine was back in wave2, I took 3 Gladiators (my favorite ship), a super high bid, plus Tarkin and 10 squadrons, partially Rogue and played this crazy crazy game of commanding squadrons and variable independent moving pieces all over the field. The Gladiators moved like fleet, pushing out squadron commands with Flight Controllers while gaining CF Navs and Sq tokens from Tarkin. It took so much planning to use Tarkin effectively to do 2 things every turn. And it was extraordinary fun to play both bombers and Demolisher in the same list.

I've never seen a crazier list that worked out well on the table. 3 Activations in an era of Clonisher 5 activations. It was also really fun to use Gladiators as squadron commanders, even though honestly, even with Flight Controllers they're not perfect. But it was very fun! And better than expected.

Share your favorites! I'd love to hear lists that are actually quite good, some that aren't so good, but based around fun and quirk. As opposed to winning. Let's leave the winning fun aside for now and talk casual.

Doom pickle with 2 TRC90s with intel officer. Gambling reds.

Mine so far has been an MSU fleet of CR90s, Neb Bs, and a pike of rogues/aces (Han, Dash, Hera) with Dodonna on a BCC in the back. I call it the "rougish rabble of rebels" it just flies all over the place and is a total blast.

Wanna give us the list for that? Rogues are underused recently.

This looks great! Though, I'd probably consider running Dodonna on the CR90A and swap Toryn Farr out to the Tranposrt. Then the transport is obvious the one that should go in deep.

How much does the FCT CR-B help??

I ran a 5 raider ram/screed+assault protons that was pretty fun.

it cut even. Most matches were within 40 points.

hella fun to play though

My favorite is probably the super low bid Devastator/Demolisher build I took to GenCon. It did so many things that flipped typical enemy strategies on their heads, not the least of which was its reliance on brutally fast offense. In the end, I lost because at a critical moment, I held back instead of recklessly throwing everything at my opponent like I'd planned to!

How often do you get to say that!

Mothma Sw-7 CR-90B swarm list I took to Gencon last year and Regionals. Takes a lot to micromanage and not bump each other, but no better feeling than blocking in a Demo trying to escape for the last damage!

The most fun, and the only Tournament Win I have under my belt... The Combination of keeping the enemy off-foot, shuffling terrain, and hitting them with initial activations *where it hurts* (like killing Jaina's Light before it has a chance to activate. Boom)... Its just Hilariously fun, and keep the enemy on the back foot from the first activation onwards.

Then it advances very quickly, pushing double-arcs, stripping shields and tokens, forcing the enemy to stay on the back foot.

ANd just Engineers its way out of Trouble, before Demolisher Mops up.

3 ISD-I, 6 tie fighters, ozzel.

Could you talk a bit about your lists?

What makes them fun?

How do you play the 1st list btw? Is it a matter of bombing them before you get killed by whatever they have, be it better anti-squadron or ships?

Depends on your opponent really. If they throw all of their ships at you, you kind of don't have a choice but to try and burn them down as fast as you can. If they engage my squadrons, but played for conservatively with ships, then I'd fight them. Flight Controllers on the AF plus Toryn make for a lot of anti-squadron firepower and you have tons of tankiness. Admonition is used to counter-threaten since you end up being second player a lot.

The second fleet is just straight up alpha strike the opponent's squads, then move on the bombing. Its pretty straightforward, but a lot of fun.

I believe they're fun because they allow JJ to win World Championships and such. ;) plus, Y-wings!

My own fun-est list was a Liberty, 4 GR-75's, 8 Y's, 2 X's, and 2 HWK's. Because, Y-wings! :)

This was a wave 2 list I brought to a Store Championship, one of 4 in the area so I was playing around with silly lists at this point. Round one I get paired against a guy who I don't think had played against Ackbar before and he picked Fleet Ambush with 2 Motti ISD's and Demo. He started both ISD's in the Ambush Zone, I tabled him turn 2. It has to be the fasted game of Armada I've ever played.

double ISD lists give me the most fun

they are not very effective as You need to choose between upgrades (for isds) and squadrons BUT it's double ISD :D

A crazy VSD and ISD bombers list, somehow it half-kinda-worked

I had fun with a Cracken fleet with 3 CR90's, a flotilla and an MC30. Probably a lot like a pure Corvette swarm, but with some fighter/bombers commanded by the flotilla, with 1 A-wing each to escort a couple of the corvettes.
