So we were in the middle of Chronicles of the Gatekeeper, when our player who the story was centering around had to take a break. So we ran through "Friends Like These", and just finished this weekend after 6 sessions. I am planning on getting back to Chronicles, but the crew has decided they don't like Mollec much, and are now bent on toppling his Empire. So I just want to mine the community for any thoughts you have and what you would present to them on the fly. Any ideas are apprecieated. Thx.

Ha! I bet it didn't take them long to decide that!

Before any suggestions, though, did the players manage to rescue the missing Mandalorian leader?

No, and they have stated that it is part of their agenda. I played up the whole "entourage of slave bodyguards shielding him, slave collars, explosive implants, and vital sign monitors". Yeah, one of the players left an explosive near the Prince's skybox and set it off as they were flying out. I want this to be really challenging for them, after all, they Zygerrians have been in the slave business for generations. (Players have upwards of 400xp, btw, most with 2 specializations, 3 force users.)

Hmm. The biggest challenge I see is all of the explosive devices in the slaves. Mollec will not hesitate to sacrifice slaves to force the PCs to yield, so this should definitely be a very morally challenging encounter as well as a difficult one in terms of sheer numbers.

I would suggest running this as a heist, at least at first. Give them the idea to rescue the Mandalorian leader first, and then if successful he can send some of his people with them as they attack the slavers operating directly under the prince. Stop the slave transports, etc.

They may even be able to make a temporary alliance with another Zygerrian house that would like to see Mollec fail, or maybe make that a Hutt. Of course, that would come with tremendous obligation......

I hope these ideas give you something to get your players going.

Wait... there's a major villain who's a Zygerrian named Mollec? My major villain is a Zygerrian named Moloch. Next you're gonna tell me that there's a wookiee named Grakchauwaa. Oh, drop the U and it's the King Wookiee? What is going on?

Thanks Vestij, those are some good brainfood.

So thinking about this more, I realized one way to go is to get him to want to give it all up. Kind of like an episode of Leverage. I don't want to flat out suggest this to the players as a GM, though. Its what I would suggest if I was a PC.
