LOL !
Too bad FFG didn't run demos of WH:I in their own game center before its released (but it wasn't open by that time). We would have had the FAQs a few months ago.
I got all exicted and then....*sigh*.

What do you mean, mate?
I order Runewar. When it arrives on my doorstep (about 2-3 days after it is released officially) there is already an official FAQ. Also, apparently there were some misprints on some of the city tiles and elven board, and replacement tiles ARE INCLUDED IN THE BOX! BONUS! I get some extra (slightly flawed) pieces! (small errors, sort of like Chaos in the old World, which I would have been happy with just writting on the pieces or putting a little sticky on them to correct the errors, but instead, they created entirely new, correct pieces).
Thats what I call GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE! They made a few small mistakes and had some rules that needed clarification, so they made an FAQ almost instantly!!
Fantastic! What an IDEA! An FAQ out before ANY expansions are out!!
HOLY COW!
so RUNEWARS came out a few weeks ago. Day one it had an FAQ. Some players sent rules questions to rules support, and within the week, the game designers ADDED THE NEW QUESTIONS and ANSWERS to the UPDATED FAQ!!!!
AMAZING!!!!
if players have questions and they send those questions to rules support, the designers answer those questions, and put them in a FAQ for everyone to see. They dont keep the answers secret, requiring players to continually resent the same questions.
WOW!!!!! GENIUS! SHEAR GENIUS. Imagine that... an FAQ... a Collection of answers to common rules questions. Answers collected in a single, easy to reference file. A reference file called a... F... A... Q....
countdown to a reply that makes excuses for a different, absent FAQ....
Really, this is getting ridicules. It shouldn't take this long to get out an FAQ. They are actually losing potential players because of all the arguments that break out over the different interpretations of some of the cards and how they affect other cards.
It should only take a day our two to comb these forums and put together a document that answers 95% of the questions. Yes some questions may actually take a few designers to get together and figure out what they were thinking when they released some cards, but that should only take a few days to figure out too.
Your losing money FFG.
